No a Mini Girlie quite yet!

Considering purchasing a 2004 MCS ... with 135K. Only problem is that it's a strange green that I've not seen anywhere in all the many months of looking and following threads here.

Priced at $8700 and need to know if that's a good deal or if I should keep looking.

Guess I have to add a photo so I can provide url and will do that shortly.

Thank you in advance for any and all help.

Andrea

It's good to know the options... then check kbb.com to see what the price is for those miles and options comes out to be.

Thank you ... I've checked and it seems OK but I wanted to know from you all because you have personal experience.

You can do much better....keep looking. I sold my 2002 last summer with 78K on it for $8000. Any explanation of the color? Accident?

Oh .... if I take care of a MCS with 135 kilometers. Gotta love google .... 135K is 83,885 miles ... 35 miles to 1 kilometre ... how many miles can I expect to get out of it if it is my primary car!?

That's not a color I've ever seen. That doesn't mean it's not a factory color, but I'd get a carfax on it and see if it's been hit. Mileage isn't too bad - my '08 is about to turn 62K.

Let us know how you make out.

Are the door jambs and underhood the same green color? I think you can send the VIN to any dealer and they can look up the original color. For that matter, on the passenger side frame underhood, the paint code and color label appear. It is right by the windshield washer tank filler

I, for one, LOVE the color. (Do you?) Does it look like factory paint? My '06 has a plate on it with the factory colour under the bonnet on the passenger side, mounted vertically just above the windshield washer fluid. Either ask the seller what that plate has on it, or take a look yourself when you get a chance to take the car to your mechanic for the obligatory once-over.

I don't thing 83 K miles is a problem. Bought my '06 with 73 K and I am expecting to get another 100 K (miles) out of it.

I don't recall that being a color offered by MINI. So if it is a custom paint job, was it done after an accident, or just done for aesthetic reasons?

LoL ... the colour is definitely a 'stand out from the crowd' one that's for sure. The last bright coloured car I had was a '71 Karmann Ghia but I was a young chickie. Not sure how this colour feels for a more seasoned woman haha!

I will be going again tomorrow for another look-see and test drive will check what you all suggested.

I thank you very much! I drive my cars hard but I don't drive them a lot in a year. Maybe put on 15 - 20k. Was hoping to get a good 5 - 6 yrs on this baby. While I love changing cars out, its getting a tad expensive.

Selling my Honda CR-V and will be getting a Mini and a set of winter tires for the Cndn winters!!

Will report back.

You're all great!

Oh and in answer to it being a custom colour the first thing I thought of was Italian and soccer!!

TOTALLY OFF TOPIC BUT .... someone just sent me an email saying they wanted to buy my Honda and pay via PayPal and cover the fees. Said she'd send someone to pick it up because she's out of town!

Freaking me out but excited at the same time. I know they can't cancel payment but they can put through a claim saying its not as advertised etc etc. However, I don't have to take it back either.

Any comments on this weird situation?

Geesh ... nothing is easy!

You don't have too much going on at once! Italian and soccer... I can see a theme developing. I see lime jello with whipped cream on top.

If that color were broken up a little with some graphics, I could live with it.

That's a well known scam. I'm not sure how it works, but report that message to whatever classified the answer came from.

Thanks Blackbomber ... that's pretty much what I thought as well. What a shame that I've had this bimbo do this and had several others wanting to broker my car!!

Albiecrazy ... that's just part of what's going on too! Welcome to my world haha!

Crazy times we live in!
