Noob', SF Bay Area, and Hello...

Like many Mini owners (haha, many Mini--alliteration), I'm pretty excited (overly excited, perhaps) about owning a Mini. 'Jumped into an '06 mini cooper s a few days ago. It's by far the most fun car I've owned (SRT4, SVTFocus, VW GTI are it's predecessors on the timeline).

Anyway, stuff: bay area, grade-school teacher, moderate car-enthusiast, music production, and acting, on side, bum, etc. (This is starting to sound like some classified ad. No, this is not a classified ad).

Enough of the intros. 'Hoping to meet fellow enthusiasts, go to events, immerse myself in the culture.

Cheers!

Welcome! I'm down in Sunnyvale (San Jose suburb). I'm also into music production, what do you like to work with?

Mini is def my fav car so far (Volvo T-5R, EG Civic Hatch). I recently joined a meet-up group in the South Bay, http://www.meetup.com/motoringminis/ and there is a meet this Sunday...

Yo. I am an extreme amateur at music production. Extreme. 'Been making beats with an old-a$$ Ensoniq for years. Studio--Mac Platform, half-antiquated ProTools software, and other basics, studio mic, and usually coffee, and food. ! We're talking hip-hop, r&b, soul, or whoever the wind-blows at any given moment. 'Been dormant. But, it's something that can be fun to re-up. You? Music? Styles? etc.?

I dig. Just got Pro Tools User certified this week! Mostly use Reason & Logic on a MacBook Pro. Been producing about 2 years. I mostly make jungle/d&b, dubstep, downtempo and drumstep.

Brentwood (but moving soon), Fremont presently, work: Hayward. So, heart-of-bay-ish locale. Do you collaborate with other local would-be-producers? I 'got much to learn. And, it'd be awesome to meet folks who love their minis, and their music! hahaha

Clean looking Mini! I just left the Bay Area today, might be back after a while...

Keep up with your music and your Mini and they will both reward you in the end.

Another MINI owner/music producer here. I built a studio in what used to be the garage and so had to build a little car port when I bought the MINI! I'm running a Pro Tools HD3 Accel rig. Full time gig for me. Bands, artists, film/TV composing, production, programming, mixing, etc. Not too far from you guys... just across the state on the way up to Tahoe. Auburn (Last In-N-Out before the snow).

Old pic of the studio:

Wow! Awesome setup. My studio is NOTHING like that. Mine's a hodge podge of stuff. Functional, yes. Hodge podge, extreme yes. Perhaps MINI/music enthusiasts can get together and make music or something! haha Motor on my friend!

Hi and welcome to NAM!
I don't know why, but I can not see your pic, but an 06 Mini is arguably their best year gen 1.
Congrats on your buy!
