I do not think I will ever get my car. Change week

Called my MA today. Early last week she told me I was scheduled to start production next week. The OL had not changed so I gave her a ring. She says it now says I will not go into production will week 39 (sep 19th). Over a month after I order my car before it goes into production.

2012 Conver S.

Looks like I am not going to get it till Halloween at this rate, will be to cool for topless fun :(

Why would the week change?

Are you getting the nav and mini connected?
I just heard tonight on this boards that they are short parts from the Japan issue.

When I went for my 15,000 mile checkup the "waiting" lounge is in the sales office. These guys had nothing to do so they just paced around or played games on their computer. One would think, just to stave off boredom, they would try and keep the CUSTOMERS THEY ALREADY HAD happy and informed just like if it was their car and they had ordered it! Good thing mini's sell themselves!

Well it is making me a sad panda. Thanks for the info... I just hope I get one or two sunny, warmish days before winter sets in so I can put my top down.

Bubble and Squeak,

there are several things that you have not been told. The first being that each dealer is given so many production slots and if they have used up their allotment for that month, you will have to wait. The second being that production is also scheduled based on models and colors ordered. They try to schedule colors together for example , we ordered a Light Coffee CM, I was reading people's posts that ordered their Light Coffee before I did and we all seemed to have been scheduled for the same production period. there might be other supply issues contibuting to production delays. Hope I shed some light on this.

2012 CM Light Coffee Black roof and mirrors, Cold weather, all season tires, Sunroof, Auto Ac, HK Steptronic sport seats. Ordered July 18th, Production completed Aug 19th Expected Delivery Sept 21st. Impatiently awaiting delivery, tracking progress every day.

Sorry to hear of the delay for you BubbleandSqueak. My dealer said they called 27 oyher dealers to trade a slot so they could get mine into production sooner.

Could just be the color though like stated above. Hey… Pepper Whitte IS the faster color!

My car took 4 weeks to start production too. I got the nav and connected as well. It seemed FOREVER and I was really depressed as everyone else seemed to be getting into production within days! My MA said once it gets into production it goes very quickly and he was right. Now I am close as my MINI is "En Route". Don't know what ship or if Katia will be a problem but am hoping for the best.

Hang in there!
