Hi everyone - just joined the Mini world this afternoon. Made my order for a 2012 Clubman S - Chili Red / black roof. Currently have a Nissan Altima which while its a great car it just isn't fun to drive. After selling my Nissan 300ZX a few years back I've missed that fun driving experience, and it was time to start hunting for something fun to drive again.
Test drove a few of the hardtops and was instantly sold - the tough decision became clubman or hard top - then what color. FINALLY made a decision today and put the order in - hopefully get my production confirmation soon and then the wait begins.

Congats! Color and model are tough choices - but also a lot of fun.

 

Congrats, you will have no regretts. I too had a Altima and a RX-7. Theses cars are more fun. Every trip is an adventure for me.
Great choice ordering a R55s. Having that extra space is really helpful. If you did not order the sports susp. get a rear 19mm sway bar. Makes a big difference.

Haha - I actually considered it - but we occasionally have people ride with us - and after doing some testing myself (in and out of the rear seats) we went with the Clubman.

Coupe looks great though - definitely will have to go test one out when the dealer gets one.

 

Just Ordered My 2012 Clubman Hampton Pkg. Reef Blue with Silver roof c-pillers & mirrior caps. Now The Long wait begins. Hoping to get My Hampton before the end of Oct. Anaheim, California ...What do you knowing folks think?

 

You will not be disappointed! I have driven a very wide variety of cars, from very expensive to the basic toyota corolla (my current ride) and Mini's are by far the most fun car I have ever driven. To put it in perspective, I have had the opportunity of driving the following cars:

-73 Jaguar E-type
-Jaguar XJ6, XJ8, XK8
-BMW 328/335, 535/550, 650, 750, X3, X5, Z4 ( I work for BMW/MINI )
-Lotus Esprite V8 Twin Turbo
-Mini Cooper, Cooper S, JCW Mini Coupe (yep, I said Coupe. another perk of working for the company )

...just to name a few.

Omg. I too am getting out of an Altima. Love the car, just a snoozfest to drive.

 

I'll be trading in an Altima as well! Nissan will not be happy

My Hampton Clubman has started Production, I Have a VIN#. But I think my chances of an Oct delivery here in Anaheim is just a dream

 

MA just called to let me know mine went into production today, 2 weeks early

 

My car also went into production early...then again I bumped into one of my dealers spots and got lucky. Hopefully not too awfully long before you get your clubby!
