I want to say thanks in advance.
Hello,
I would first like to say hello and thank you. Even though I'm just now registering, I have used this site for information on my MINI for the last 7 months. It is incredibly helpful.
I live in Fort Collins, Colorado. I use to be a technician, but have returned to school to finish my geology degree at CSU.
My previous project was a 1990 Civic. It was completely raced out with a cage, full motor swap (CRV B20), suspension, fully programmable ecu, you name it, finally amounting to around 10-12k in mods on a car that cost me $700. It was originally red, but faded to pink and had massive hail damage. I left it like that to give it a "sleeper" look. It was a great car, plenty of power (wheel spin into third) and decent handling. Though I loved it, I sold it because it because I felt like it was time to grow up, and try something new. Man, im glad i decided that!!
I bought my MINI in February 2011. It is a 2004 MINI S in Pepper White with one large black stripe with two small stripes. It's one of the most amazing machines I have ever driven. The handling stock on my MINI destroys the $1400 in suspension on the Civic, and to top it all of its definitely a better looking car.
It currently has a BMP intake filter and shield, EBC Yellowstuff Race brake pads and EBC URC Rotors on the front, and i have recently replaced the aftermarket wheels it came with OEM 17s(hope to get powder coated black soon) (aftermarket wheels didn't clear fresh brake job.
@ Previous owner)
I'm glad to be apart of the community, I hope to see some of you around and on MINI tours. Thanks
