Well shucks, all the mystery is gone... my MA called and said Bob will be ready to pick up on Friday. Gee, no more wondering!
Interesting tidbit: He said that Mini is highly motivated to complete sales by the end of the month. So any cars that will reach the port 4 days before the end of the month, Mini will try really hard to get them to their owners. If your car is scheduled to be at the port on or before 3/27, they'll work extra hard to get it to the dealer. At least, this what he told me.

talked to my SA today, march 24, he told me my countryman is due at the dealer March 27 and i can pick it up on March 28.
no longer breathing into a brown paper bag, i put a large brown paper bag over my head.....i'll remove it March 28!

Fun Ahead
New mini on order will be our first fun car since my 96 M3. Really for the wife and that is why the AT (although she said I could get the 6sp if I REALLY wanted it). I'm no fool! Looking forward to it. Hope concerns regarding noisy sunroofs are in the past. Know I'm not going to be happy with the run flats but I'll run them until they wear. Looking forward to contributing to NAM.

I know when MINI first hit the market in 2002 dealer add on were the norm. I haven't heard it happening lately

I'm shocked. My car is now in the VDC, which only opened up a half hour ago. My car was delivered to the port on Saturday, so must have been brought over first thing this morning. Here's hoping it moves through quickly!
Edit: The OL gives an Estimated Delivery Date of 3/28!! I can only hope that's true!!

Great news! Actually, I got the impression that they "worked weekends"...my MINI kept posting WW updates after it docked on a late Friday night. Of course, that doesn't mean that they all do so.

Question I have: Is the 'Estimated Delivery Date' the date I can pick it up, or the date it arrives at the dealer?

OIC...great question on delivery date, I'm sure it's just a SWAG based on VDC arrival and anticipated transit time to the dealer + 1 day to cleanup. Maybe?
Mine was 3/23; transport got it to STL on 3/22. MINI OL wouldn't have known I wanted checks and a JCW kit installed, taking a bit longer.

Oh amazing!! I demand pictures, especially of that leather dash! Soon I'll have a leather dash to call my own, too
Looking forward to seeing how the dash turned out also, with the English Oak...I'll get a good shot or two somehow!

According to the Googley Maps, it's only about 50 miles from my dealer and the VDC, and about 55 miles from your dealer and the VDC. That definitely doesn't account for an extra two days.
From what I understand, these are rough estimates, so we shouldn't use these as actual dates of arrival to the dealers.
