There is some question whether all dealers are honoring this deal!!! YMMV!
Thanks for the info. My Vickie is currently on the Bess, currently in Halifax, due in Jersey City on the 14th.

Hearing about some of you folks who have been waiting forever makes me feel fortunate. Vickie came sooner than expected. I was anticipating at least 2 1/2 months, I only placed my order on 2/11 and she'll probably be off the ship in just over 4 weeks. Puts me in a bit of a bind since Lizzie's lease isn't up until the end of April.

I can only get ahold of him by email maybe once a week. He said our finance guy will take this over from here, my husband got a message from him last week to which I called him back and left a message. Still haven't heard back from him either!!
So, I've had three total interactions with my MA...wonder what his commission is? He didn't sell us a car, he just took our order!! LoL
When you get their survey, Ding them for it if you feel its justified. That survey is like gold to them. You'll hear about it when you pick up Z. For the amount of money you are spending, I think there should be a little more contact.

Well, we only customized about 4k above base. I'm sure there are many other customers who maxed it out who "deserve" the extra attention. {{note the immense amount of sarcasm}}

Doesn't matter, a customer is a customer. I will look forward to that survey.
btw, it's Monday afternoon and the finance manager still hasn't returned our call from...Monday? Tuesday? Maybe I'm being nitpickity but I'm not too happy with this service we have received.

I totally agree. A customer IS a customer.

Yeah. The lack of urgency or even courtesy always bothers me. I understand there is only so much you can do before the car comes but still. Return the phone call.

My MA has gotten really good as of late in being in contact. I appreciate that.

New boatful of MINIs headed to the West Coast

Our Motoring Advisor just told us our new Countryman is on the Asian King. It picked up Countrymans in Bremmerhaven, went to Southhampton for MINIs, and is in Belgium right now picking up BMWs. After that it's straight to the Panama Canal and Port Huememe!

No problem. I'll try to post up some shots of the live feed as it goes through the canal. I think my productivity will be down a little today.

That's what it looks like according to the pictures from Marinetraffic.com, right now it looks like it's docked at Manzanillo. Hopefully it leaves soon.

Thank God for support groups! I have wanted a Mini Cooper S for 9 years (no exaggeration) and at last, it is built and awaiting transport across the glorious pond. Since I've been building it for 9 years in my mind, I went wild and am awaiting a BRG Cooper S with black roof and mirrors, 17" black web spoke wheels, black lounge leather interior, sport and cold weather packages, panoramic roof, auto A/C, and a HK stereo. His name........'Mowgli'.
Can you dig it? I am happy to be among true enthusiasts at last.
Cheers,
Matt

Congratulations! I think I got the bug somewhere around the 4th viewing of the Italian Job, whenever that was.

I am more hopeful about tomorrow (Wednesday) I checked with the dealer and they said the VDC kept the car for a few days to paint some minor chips on the bumper. Should be released to the truck tomorrow morning, we'll see.
Keysersozeh: please tell us what it was like to pick yours up. Happy for you!

Good thing for support groups. I've wanted one for about the last 4 years, but instead got a 3-series, and then a 350z which will be going back for my MINI. So seeing as how it was time for a new whip, I only needed to look at the MINI, as that would be the best compromise handling wise from my Z. So I ordered in the beginning of February, and it has been without a doubt the most painful wait I've ever had. And the fact that they let you track it makes it that much more painful.

So currently my MCS is on the Bess scheduled to be in NY tomorrow, so hopefully by the end of the week at my dealer, or early next week. (Fingers Crossed) The spec is as follows:
MCS in Eclipse Gray, Black Roof/Mirrors/ Bonnet Stripes
Sunroof
Adaptive Xenons
Cold Weather
Premium
Sport
Technology with NAV

Thanks for having a great owners resource, and please enable Tapatalk
