My MA just called me today to update me on the status of Figaro.(Not that I don't know already...but it was nice for him to call me on his off day to let me know) He says I should be able to pick it up around Friday or next weekend.

I have also put in the request on the phone not to drill the front license plate holes. Let's see if it will be done.

 

NEXT WEEKEND?!?! I CANT WAIT THAT LONG! They told me Weds. Even then I was like YOU NEED TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN FASTER. LOLOLOLOL.

I NEED IT NOW.

It may depent on the laws where you live. I was pulled over in Ohio for not having a front plate and had to drill my Beretta GTZ. Some states it is not mandatory to have one. As far as Canada, who knows.

 

It is mandatory in California as well, but the chances of getting pulled over and ticketed just because you don't have a front plate are very slim. Same goes for tinted windows. I drove a red Z28 with no front plate and tinted windows for all those years and just made sure I never got pulled over for a moving violation.

 

It is kind of a luck thing. I also do not have front license plate for my Honda Element since I got it in 03. I got a ticket once for the front license plate violation, when I park on the street around LA downtown.

It seems downtown area are easier to land you a ticket for something like this as a few of my friends have the same experience.

That's what put me in doubt about drilling the holes on my MINI. But...one front license ticket for 8 years, I guess I can live with it. I will probably just have some double sided tape handy and just stick the license plate on if I need to park near downtown or something.

 

I was finally able to pick up my mini yesterday. All I can say is, I LOVE MY CAR!!!! Been having a blast and the last 9 weeks of dreaming, stalking and frustration have all been forgotten. So worth the wait!

 

Well I am in the country (kinda) its going through customs now. This wait is killing me now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little "Wicked" has arrived...

So went to pick her up on Thursday evening- they were putting her clear bra on ...
I also noticed that her wheels were silver rather than black - and easy swap from a silver one on the lot... lol

We spent most of Friday bonding

First up was painting her toes


then bye bye to some shiny stuff








Then I thought that she might like a few LED's

Wicked and her older sister Lucy with there new LED's





Then today Wicked got to go out and play with PDX Mini Club a 200 mile adventure through the back roads and the mountains of Oregon - three groups and a total of 28 MINI's.... perfect way to break her in

 

awesome.

 

I like the LEDs. Those are some sexy sistahs.

 

My MA text me last night and said that I can come pick up the car on Weds. Something tells me that its really not going to happen that soon... plus they have to install my JCW tuning kit..

 

Did your MA tell you that they still have to install the Tuning Kit? Mine was done at the VDC. It may already be installed.

These cars are junk, their slow, uncomfortable, have lousy gas mileage, their cramped, they have no radio and a speedometer so small that you can't even reed it!!!

Yeah. They have to install it at the dealership b/c I decided to order it AFTER I actually ordered the car. They just got the JCW kit at the dealership on Friday.
