Well, I got my MINI Countryman production number and production week tonight! One month and one day until production begins!

My MA told me tonight that this is the first week of 2012 CM production, so any of you out there that got early orders in will likely be the same week.

Looking forward to hearing about the experiences the rest of you have!

 

My MA placed my order on/around 7/1 from one of their pre-built slots and modified it. She said it is in production with a complete date of 7/23. Mini Lounge only shows the car as on order, but I see from other NAM posts that the lounge info is usually slow to update. I wonder what the large discrepancy in timing is between you and me. This will be my first mini and I cant wait. I thought reading this forum would help ease the pain, but I think it is making it worse.

 

You're lucky that you got an existing slot! I'm excited to get one of the first 2012's but the wait is killing me!

 

I just placed my order 2 days ago! This wait is going to kill me..

 

OMG, my mini just entered production. Completion date is 7/21. It's wierd. The more this thing progresses, the worse the wait is.

 

Ordered my 2012 CMS on 7/8 and I think I was the first at my dealership, so our cars just might be factory buddies. Haven't heard anything from my MA about a production number yet, though.

 

I think I've got everyone beat. I put a deposit down on 5/4. Because of delays with the automatic transmission, I was bumped to a 2012. My order has finally gone in and I've got a week 33 production slot. If the production takes 8 weeks for the CM like they say, then I won't get the car until October. So my wait will have been 5 months long!

 

Ugh, Lauren. I feel the pain.

 

My MA says my MCS is now in the paint shop and should finish on time on the 21st. Her best guess is it will become a Virginian on 8/15.

 

AskMINI automated phone line states that my mini is en route to the port for shipment. Anchors away!!!! I guess I will start hitting the tracking page for WW lines every 5 minutes tomorrow to see what shipt it is on.

 

Just checked with 1-800-ASK-MINI, and found out that my CMS should be complete around 8/19. I've already started ordering accessories so I'll have them by the time it arrives!

What kind of accesories are you looking at? I am new to the mini scene, so I am wondering what others find interesting. I dont want to race the card, but would like to maybe feel like I could if I wanted to...

 

Thus far, I only have the Stubby antenna from Craven Speed, and a badge / badge holder from GoBadges.

I intend to pick up some washing/detailing products as well, like Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine and some Armor All Wheel Protectant.

On the lookout for more goodies to add to my little shrine as I await the delivery date.

 

I feel you. My deposit went in on memorial day and it would have been before that had I moved out earlier. But since I was also aware of the auto tranny issue and didn't figure things would move any quicker ordering in Apr vs. May, I held onto my deposit till I felt like I had to do something! That and my dealer wouldnt take orders until the system accepted them for 2012 auto.

8/19 estimated complete date for me, although it feels like something else will come up so that I don't actually take delivery until Oct!

I pick it up tomorrow and can't wait, so you must be going insane

 

My car is currently in production, so maybe I'll get it sooner than October. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

I picked mine up tonight... And the dealer ( wollaston) had tracked down the jcw kit and fitted it as a surprise ... Looks awesome pics to follow
