Finally, some decent photos to share

I've been a NAMer since 12/10, but I've never said hello. I was waiting until I could post some decent photos of my 2011 MCS R56 MBM just the way I like it.

It's on is second set of wheels, lowered by 1.5 inches all around and almost blacked out

I love this car and am a proud owner!

Very nice! I'm thinking of getting my taillights tinted. How are the light output?

Wow that looks nice with the blacked out rims. Do you notice a big difference in handling after lowering it or any troubles on bumpy roads? I just got a 2004 MC and it's all stock, but the thing handles so nice and tight, I can't imagine having it lowered even more.

Thanks!

Thank you all for the feedback

It is a work in progress. In the future, I'll replace the scuttles, shave off emblems and tint the side markers.

The light output of the tail lights was reduced only slightly. At night, it's as if it wasn't tinted at all.

The tires are 215/50-R17 wrapped around 17x7.5 et45 wheels, no spacers--barely clears the H&R Street coils, but no rubbing on the inside or the outside.

Ride quality is not bad. The difference between my current setup and stock suspension w/ run-flats is hardly noticeable. The meaty tires help with reducing the harshness of bumps.

I've read that the R53 is lower than the R56. So, yeah, you can opt out of lowering, especially if you like the handling the way it is

As far as my spiritedly street-driven R56, I noticed significantly less body roll when cornering, less squat during acceleration and less dive when braking after installing coilovers.

Ah I see, except I believe mine is an R50 right? It's a 2004. How does the R50 height compare to the R53 and R56?

Oh, my bad.

Not sure about the ride height difference between an R50 and an R53. You'd have to peruse the Suspension sub-forums.

Gotchya, that's alright. I love how my mini handles stock, I think my next car will be a MCS, but I better not get ahead of myself!
