When you ordered your mini, how long did it take schedule your production
Update as of 05-11-2011: At the port awaiting a shipping vessel
I ordered my new baby 3/27/11 and received it 4/22/11 ... it really depends on a bunch of things including; dealership, manufacturer, and shipping ... I know the feeling though of completely building your own and wanting it the next day lol ...
Update as of 05-16-2011: Got an email from my MA this morning. I'm on the Aegean Highway scheduled to dock in Brunswick, GA on May 22 @ 19:00. However, OL and 866-ASK-MINI still say I'm at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. Go figure.
After paint, you're done. Next step is to wait for a ride from Oxford to Southampton.
1) Body shop (bend and weld the metal)
2) Paint shop (body and roof color)
3) Assembly (add the motor, wheels, dash and seats)
4) Quality Check (make sure it all looks good and is working)
then off to the docks.
Steps 1-3 can happen in a single day, if the planets align. Mine sat in the Body Shop step across a weekend. They don't seem to be working weekends right now.
No - I think paint is step 2 of 4.

if u are coming to the west coast, u r probably on the same vessel as me

Somebody above mentioned the Ask Mini phone number and I just want to say thanks again for that, it does have a lot more updates than the site does.
WW provides a great website for you to check to see whether your MINI is booked aboard WW (or ARC) ships. You will need to start at the WW Cargo Tracking website: https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/. The page will allow you to enter your VIN (which you can obtain from the OL) in the Cargo ID field. If your MINI has been booked aboard a ship, your VIN will bring up a “Cargo Status History” and present you with a wide set of information related to your MINI’s cruise. You will find the status of your MINI as it progressed through the four stages of shipment – Booking, Reception at Terminal, Loaded on Vessel, and Discharged – at the bottom of the page. It is IMPORTANT to remember that WW is a European company, so dates on the WW site are listed in the European format of DD/MM/YYYY. Another incredibly helpful section is the schedule page which is accessible by clicking on your Voyage ID information. This will tell you the expected arrival and departure information for the various ports of your voyage.
Use the following to find the name of your shipping vessel and use that to track it across the ocean
