I was so impressed with this site that I did not introduce myself formally, went right to the gusto of asking questions..sorry folks. Got my 06 MCS 11 days ago. Hyper Blue with black strips, 6 speed, Sport/weather package(s), leather seats, etc. This Mini was well cared for and I intend to do the same! 44K miles, all OEM in pristine condition except for two stars in windshield (I had them plugged). Got a great deal which makes it even better! I am obsessed with this little beauty. Next to driving it, the best part is that I have not stopped at a gas station since taking possession (computer states 28.8 MPG). Imagine that in Chicago.....thanks for letting me boast!!!!!

 

Right on man, the mini is a special beast. Read a lot and do your research before buying up all the upgrades

Congrats! I just picked up a used 03 JCW about the same time you got your MINI! I totally agree with the MPG!!!

 

Congrats...I picked mine up 11 days ago as well but had to stop for gas yesterday. I'm not sure what the tank holds but it took 14.7 gallons to fill it which equates to $62 here in Kona. If I can get away with that I am doing ok. My computer says I am getting 33.6 mpg...I'll do the math on the next fill and see how close it is.

I just moved here to Hawaii from Chicago 5 weeks ago and I can say that the roads are a bit smoother here. No potholes but then there are only a few roads here to maintain and the weather is perfect.
