Well we have had our MINI for almost 3 years, but just signed up.
Just over 50kmi on our 08 R56, Mellow Yellow, & we got every option they had except the cold weather package (Wife didn't want heated seats @ the time, but does now). We have done a few things to it, like most of Alta's bolt on's.
The car has been awesome, except our Alta DP causing a CEL, that we were promised would not happen.
I used to run a little local speed shop, for Audi, Porsche & VW, we specialized in suspensions, & custom ECU tuning, so I have a lot of general car knowledge, & know how things work.

Hello!
Oh, yes. Heated seats are a MUST HAVE! I don't think I'll ever have another car without them.
Sorry to hear about the CEL. It seems I've read about that happening fairly often with ALTA.
Anyway, glad to have you join us!

I'm in Tacoma.
Yea, I used to carry my laptop around (have OBD software) but got tired of it. Now I just have a handheld ODB scanner. Really I just keep the light on most of the time. About once a month or so, I check it, just to make sure that there is only that one code.
Alta has been good when I called them a couple of times. They also sent me some O2 spacers for free.
When we built the car online, with the JCW goodies added it was almost $40k. So, she removed a couple of things, & we got it just under $37. Now she wishes she kept the cold weather package, but really we would only use them about 10 times a year. My other car does have them, & I like'em. But really I think the heated side mirrors are a must! I hate not being able to see.
