New guy from Connecticut

I will be picking up my 2008 Cooper S tommorrow. I wasn't aware of the cold start problem...hope they did the service bulletin.

Couple cherry guy questions. I am putting either Blizzaks or Contis AS on 16"
rims has any one driven with these in snow? I am very experienced winter driver having grown up near Mt Wachusetts.

Any particular issues that i should look forwith this model? What is my expected gas milage in reality. I usually drive 70-75 highway mostly rural roads small cities.

I am also interested in meeting other New Englanders for rallies and club activities.

Turbo S 6 dpeed, Cold weather and Sport package Sunroof

The Blizzaks are a very popular choice.

Check this forum for commonly known issues: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ms-issues-188/

Be sure to post a picture once you bring the new baby home!

Welcome! We have an '08 and an '09 MCS. They've both been trouble-free. We don't really baby them but we take care of them. Good Luck & Enjoy!

I run Arctimax Arctics by General, personally. But you can't go wrong with Blizzaks. They're one of the best winter tires out there.

Norwich isn't terribly far from me, got my Mini tuned there. I'm in Worcester, MA. If you ever head north and see a BRG MCS with the word "MONTAH" across the doors, that's me. :D

I ended up with ContiWinter Contact TS810 S as I was having difficulty locating a set of Blizzaks. I hope these are as good. Tire Rack seems to rate them high.

I go thru Worcester quite often Mr Silverblood...hope to see you sometime.
