Welcome!

I, myself, came from owning VW (and Audi) exclusively for over 20 years. I think you're in for a great owner-experience with MINI.

as for enlightenment, you can blame my mini driving younger sister. she knew was i was on the fence about getting something other than a vw for once. she said that i would not regret taking the "mini plunge". she's right, so far. i will say that the key is over-engineered, but i'll figure it out sooner or later.

as for the car itself, it is the british racing green base model. i will upload pics as soon as i get the chance.

thank you all for the warm welcome. peace

Welcome! I'm also a former VeeDub owner. Over the years, I've had a '95 GTI and a '02 GTI, both with VR6s. I enjoyed both GTIs, but I'm enjoying my MINI even more! I think you'll be pleased with the change.

Also making the jump from VW...
Over the years: ’81 Audi 4000 5+5; ’84 Audi Coupe GT; ’02 VW GTI; ’03 20th Anniversary GTI; and finally, an ’04 VW R32 that I traded to get the MINI.
No pics yet for me as the car is still being built.
