Finally bought a MINI

Hello all,

I've been lurking here for a couple of months as I decided whether to dive into a MINI or not. Well......I finally dove in and picked up a 2006 MCS today. Boy is this a fun car. I'm coming from the mustang side of the automotive world, and can't wait to take this little girl up the twisties to see how she does.

Well , just a quick post for my first one.

Happy motoring everyone.

Dave

Grats Dave, welcome to NAM & the cult of MINI! What's your car like: color? auto or stick? specs? You'll soon learn that this crowd loves pics *hint hint*

In my (biased) opinion, '06s are one of the best years for the MCS. Drive 'er in good health, have a blast, and don't forget to wave!

PS: as I found out yesterday, she'll eat up the twisties & ask for seconds.

Friday and Bens...

Thanks for the welcome. I will be taking pictures tomorrow and will post them here. As for the car, it is pure silver metallic/white roof and mirrors/panoramic sunroof/six speed manual/leather interior.

I was on the verge of forgetting how fun driving can be, after 8 mustangs the thrill was gone. Then I went on the test drive in this little car and I couldn't stop smiling. I think I have found a new "Happy Place".

Now you will why the MINI drivers are always smiling, they are haveing more fun driving down the same road. You can post pictures in the upper left corner in the gallery area. After you post them people can just click on the words Gallery in blue under your name and be able to see pictures of your new little Gal, BTW she will love the twisties, and watch out for the tourque steer !!! keep her out of the ditches, she can be a hand full.
You know your coing to love it. Miles of smiles.
Motor on my friend... Motor on.

thanks for the warm welcome

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Gepper and Third....I am loving this car!!!!! I cannot believe I denied myself this much fun for so long.

I have been dreaming since I decided to buy one. Now that I own one, my mind is calm and I dream about motoring instead of just ownership.

Happy Motoring to all,

Dave

My new Mini

Hi to everyone,

I too recently bought my first Pepper White MCS. She's an 07, manual with only 21,600 miles. Here are her Specs: Cold Weather pkg and Premium pkg.
One question - my Mini is missing the Cooper S decal on her bonnet. Is this normal? I already ordered my bonnet stripes and decals to personalize my Mini.
Any words of wisdom?
Thanks and I will be posting pictures soon.

That is not normal to be missing the Cooper S on the rear, how ever there are places that you can purchase them. I have even seen where you can pruchase Turbo Charged, or Super Charged to go under the Cooper S, they look pretty good too..
