Big Guy in Tiny Car

Hey folks, I am new to the mini game. I was looking for a great daily driver and came across an 07 cooper S convertible last week and decided to jump on it. It is orange with black stripes and has the sport package. I will tell you one thing, this is a surprising car! I didn't know much about mini's, but when I first drove it, I swear it reminded me of my old e46 m3. The steering wheel and handling is what makes me think of the m3.

Anyway, I need to search this site and learn what I can about these things. I say that because I have already made one mistake. As soon as I bought the car I realized that I absolutely hate the stock exhaust tips, but I really do not want to change the exhaust on the car, so I bought some JCW tips to switch out with, and apparently they will not fit on the convertible. Soooo, if anyone is in the market for some JCW tips, I will hook you up...lol.

Welcome! Post some pics of the pumpkin! That is one color I wanted but could not find at the time. As for the exhaust tips, I found a cool set at moss mini that combine the two into 1 wider version that I am considering.

Thanks for the welcome guys. As for the exhaust tip, I was told that it works on the coupe, but it hasn't been verified to work on the vert. I figured that there is no difference in exhaust so I bought them, which I ended up paying 170 bux for (that tells you how bad I hate the stockers). Anyway, they are bolt on, so all you have to do is unbolt the stock tips and bolt these on. Well the diameter of the exhaust is too large to fit into the tip. Also, there is a bend in the exhaust, so even if you could get the tip on, it could never be straight.

So at this point I can either take the car to an exhaust shop and have them cut the exhisting pipe and put smaller diameter with less bend, or buy a full exhaust. I really do not know what to do. I have changed exhaust on many other cars in the past, and I really do not want to do it again because I am satisfied with the way it sounds stock. At this point, if I were to sell the tips, I would like to get enough for them to cover the cost of a 15% pulley.

I just took some pics, so I will have pics up pretty soon
