Knoxville, Tn - New member here & new Mini owner
WOW..
That's all I can say when I crank my Mini. I LOVE it.
I went in looking specifically for the supercharged mini cooper hardtop in triple black..Two months later I had to settle for the red with black top. Even not getting the exact color I wanted I still LOVE this car.
The first thing I did after I bought my cooper was google "Mini cooper forum" & I found you guys. I love this forum site and the Mini community all together. I felt welcomed here even before I became a member!
Thanks everyone!
& Hey!!

Welcome to the asylum for miniacs . Black is not a very common color for the MINI, so I'm not too surprised you didn't find one. Some people think bright colors are best for small cars. There might be some good logic to this thinking, since the most common defense of the offending driver is "I didn't see them." This apparent driving blindness is so pathetic where I live, the State of Kansas now requires school buses to have flashing stobe lights on their roofs. I guess being 60 feet long and bright yellow isn't enough to get people's attention .

BensMini - I love the red now that I have my mod plan together. Black wheels, black tint, replace the white stripes with black ones and I have the black roof..It will look great when I get everything done!! There should be a picture in my sig. now..I have many more =) Photography is also a passion of mine.
DavisFlyer - I actually live in Louisville, Tn (between Knoxville & Maryville) but I work between three stores..One downtown, one in west-ish Knoxville, & one in Maryville/Alcoa area.
Thanks for the greetings!!

I work in Maryville and live in Farragut. Maybe I'll see you all on the road. Are either of you members of the Smokey Mountain Mini Club? There's a meeting this Thursday (9/30) at 6:30 p.m. at the Brixx on Kingston Pike near West Town Mall. I'm heading down there to join the club this Thursday. Hopefully see you all there.

BTW, Mini of Knoxville put some custom viper stripes on a few weeks back. They did a great job. I didn't like the factory viper stripes so I took them a picture of what I wanted. They can make just about anything you can imagine. I do suggest you haggle with them on the price. Dealer prices are always high.

$169. We started at $220. I was told by several sales people there that they would do regular viper stripes for $100 if I bought a car there. I didn't buy my Mini there, but I looked around online and found the stripes I wanted for $89 (ebay I believe). I basically just told them what premium I was comfortable paying for not having to hassle with ordering them myself and finding someone local to put them on (note: they pay an outside company to apply the stripes). They ended up getting close and I'm really happy with the way they look. Sorry for the low res, poorly lit photo. I just ran out an snapped a quick photo with my iPhone so you could see their work.
