Newbie from Down Under
Hi Guys!
I've been lurking for a while, reading a heap of interesting posts. I have been waiting until I finish my first few mods before I post my intro.
I was close to buying an R53 Cooper S in 2001 but went for the more economical Renault Clio Renaultsport. While I still have fond memories of my old Clio I always wanted to try a MINI and I'm glad I waited until a time in my life when I could afford a JCW.
So I have a 2009 BRG JCW Challenge Edition - this was an Australia-only limited edition model that was really just a factory JCW with Strut Brace, CF/Leather/Alcantara Steering Wheel, Gear Shifter & Hand Brake and the CF Rear Spoiler.
Mods to date are:
1. Custom cat-back exhaust - manufactured and installed by a local specialist (no brand names!)
2. M7 Vortex 2 Scoop - Colour coded
3. Painted rear valence matte black to match the aero kit
3. M7 AGS-R Cold Air Intake + Aerogel Turbo Heatshield
4. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 215/45/17 - Run flats suck!
5. JL Audio Amp
6. Stub Antenna
7. JCW Side Scuttles
8. Out Motoring Grill Badge Holder
9. Too many Todd's Mods magnetic badges!
Planned future mods:
1. Hoen Xenon Colour match fogs and LED eyebrows - ordered
2. Rear ARB
2. Short-Shift Kit
Enough talking, here's a few pics

Lame vid of the exhaust, will find a better location and update!

WOW
That is one nice looking ride man. I think I could almost fit my entire head inside those exhaust tips! Nice sounding exhaust too. I love that burble...I'm so jealous. If I'm ever down under maybe I can bum a ride from ya.

I must concur with silhouette88, that is one clever looking MINI. And your photographs are magnificent. It looks shiny and immaculate, it looks almost like it's never been ridden! Welcome to NAM, and congratulations on your new purchase!
Had to add a post script here, aren't the badges tremendously addicting? I had to learn to put a purchase limit on them. Ha!

Thanks for your comments guys, nice to join such a positive forum.
Yeah the exhaust tips look HUGE from the angles of my pics but they really do fit nicely into the rear valence cut-away. No cabin drone either, in fact I was surprised to hear the crackles in my video, I never hear it on the inside.
I am really happy with the stock suspension set-up but would like to drop it purely for aesthetics. Any advice on how much of a drop I need? I have had good experience with Eibach springs previously.

Wicked exhaust note on your JCW... I do so love that burble!
