New member here. Just placed my order a couple of weeks ago and found NAM from the Owner's Lounge. The information posted here has been extremely helpful. My expectations have been set as I go through the process. ASK MINI tells me that we 'entered assembly' yesterday. i'll endeavor to persevere.

Thank you. Sorry about forgetting to share configuration. This forum thing is new to me and I am learning more about how this works.

I went in with the intention of getting a MCS convertible. But i got the opportunity to test drive a JCW and fell in love with sound & experience. For color I went with the Interchange Yellow because the appearance was so unique & different. Black stripes on the bonnet was a given and my wife suggested adding the JCW aero kit to finish the look (it did not take much convincing).

I'm in north Texas in DFW.

I second the recommendation to check out the MetroPlexMini group. We are a great group. We host alot of events and have an active forum. Here is the area on NAM for us.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I will look up and intend to join the in the fun with the local MINI group.

Though I am new to MINI, I am not new to the former parent company British Motor/British Leyland as I use to own a '72/'73 Blaze Red MGB GT. So no worries about me not sharing my enthusiasm & ackowleding fellow motorists.
