As long as you didn't put the car on a series of credit cards you should be fine. Is that even possible?

I wouldn't recommend it, but probably. however... if you have a credit card with like 5% or lower interest and a 20k limit, you more than likely could get a 0% interest car loan so why bother?

Very nice robinj, more pictures and your plans for your MINI.

Has that wonderful classic look. I saw one with our a sun-roof a few days ago.

Yours looks in much better condition.

congrats on the mini!

i wouldnt worry about debt. its impossible to be debt free (especially if you ever plan to own a house), so as long as you are fiscally responsible then no worries.

plans for the car?

same things I did to my eclipse over time, probably... started with air intake, decided at the timing belt mark that I might as well change the crank+s/c pulley (I know, aluminum crank pulley bad on the mini block... my eclipse (420a 1st gen neon block) didn't have one apparently) and install some crane #12 street cams (shrick in my new car's case), kept the stock muffler the whole ~110k until some a-hole at minekee a few weeks ago insisted they get more money out of me and change that for me with a rotted mid pipe. when I paid the bill for that I realized I paid 1/3 of my car's total worth so... car shopping time.

note to self though: don't keep a car past it's 10th birthday, heh... my eclipse was 12 and has more holes than the mass pike and I-95/128.

friend o' mine is an ITT mechanic student in case he needs some extra curricular work at the price of 1 beer/hr.

Who wants to be debt free? It's unAmerican, but only 16K, buy 2 and double your trouble!
