My car has completed production and is awaiting transport. I have always wanted to go through the Panama Canal, and my MINI is going to beat me through it.....

Well our Camden is also in the paint shop, scheduled to complete tomorrow. How long does it usually take for the cars to get on a boat after that? I think the only thing after that is the QA right?
We went ahead and ordered a couple of goodies from Morristown while we wait for our baby to arrive. They don't just have great prices, their customer service is great. I had ordered some seat belt holders and I thought the price was for each, but it was actually for each pair. So the guy from Morristown called me and asked if I really needed two pairs or just one. So he went ahead and modified my order and sent me what I needed.

Congrats VMCMDN!

Its kinda hard to say with any certainty how long it will take. My car 'completed production' on 3/30 but only just left for Southampton today. Could take a couple days to a week?

I have been trying to resist buying stuff while I wait. Just out of curiosity, is there anyone in particular to speak to at Morristown for parts?

...and I'm finding out that just because it made it's way across the Atlantic it could still take some time to move further.

My MCS arrived in Halifax, NS on Monday, April 6th but hasn't moved since My MA came through big time with this info as I can't track this part of its journey. Guess I just have to have some more patience. My MA said that he'd provide me with an update on Monday.....

Back to waiting and looking around at the on-line stores and accessories shops. Anyone got a good suggestion for my 1st accessory or piece of MINI clothing?

Was your MA able to tell you how long they stay at the VDC? I thought I remember reading on NAM somewhere it could take up to a week there? As they say patience is a virtue...

I have been eying the JCW side scuttles. I already bought (and have) an Alta 4" stubby antenna ready to install!

He never mentioned how long it might take. Already 4 days so his comment about checking again on Monday would fit with a 1 week wait.

Scuttles are nice, I was looking at some black jack ones last night.

Morristown definitely seems to have the cheapest prices on scuttles (around $90 vs. $125). Not sure why molded plastic costs so much, but that's auto parts for you...

oooh, man that was a while before your mini got a ticket on a boat! I hope ours doesn't take that much...
I don't remember the name of the person I spoke with at morristown, there's a contact name on their e-mails, which are probably automated from miniusa, but that person is no longer with them. When you call their number on the motoringgear site make sure you ask to be transferred to the mini parts dept.

The Ask MINI automated line says my MINI is in the paint shop with an estimated completion of April 10. Hopefully it will be on time. Time to start figuring out what ship it may be on.

My car has not even made it on the boat and I have the following mods:

1. Dry Carbon wrapped side scuttle.
2. Whalen shift ****.
3. Craven stainless ebrake lever.
4. Craven shift well cover.
5. Program tool for RMW tune.
6. Invisilens tach lens.

I am already hopelessly addicted.

Did you read through the sticky thread about how to track your MINI? There's links to the shipping line schedules and you can try to guess what boat your MINI will be on. Using your VIN you can search to see if your MINI is actually on that boat. I'll post the link so you can check it out if you like.

Wow, this is very exciting! Everyone's MINIs seem to be on their way!
I'm hoping my MINI makes it onto the WW ship Faust leaving Southampton on April 19 and arriving in New York on the 29th. I'll check every day and keep my fingers crossed.

I hope everyone will post photos as soon as they can!

mattdaemon, I was just re-reading some of this thread and saw that I missed a question from you from awhile ago. Sorry! I am going through Otto's MINI. Is that where you are getting yours? Is your MINI still on schedule to be done the 13th?
