New Camden 50 owner

Hello everyone.

After a few months of purchasing my 2010 Camden (Nov-2009 delivery), I am finally getting around to introducing myself. I visited the site before making my purchase and found the discussions very informative and useful.

So here I am just over a thousand miles later and loving every minute in the cockpit. I come home many evenings and just stare at my new baby. I have the good fortune to be parked in an underground garage and so found myself going down to the basement a few nights at the wee hours to try something out or just stare and smile. I got the base model in Silver White and am taking it in tomorrow to get the bonnet graphic made for this model put on.

So I have a few questions: does anyone know how to set factory installed alarm system to arm itself after closing the doors? Also, I once left the park lights on and was alerted a while afterward that the lights were on. Is there a setting that makes these lights turn off by themselves after exiting the car. I have looked on the Mini site and googled to death and still no luck.

Hope to join the community in some fun activities in the future.

Ok. I hope I have not eaten too much space here but look forward to your advise, guidance.

Congrats! I LOVE the Camden in White Silver.

I don't know the answer to your questions, but your alarm question would probably be better answered in 2nd Gen Nav & Audio where it may get more views.

*My* 2010, if I leave the lights on it's not a big deal. They stay on when I shut the car down and turn off when I take the key fob out, then the parking lamps shut off when I open the door. My 06 Cooper had auto headlights and I was worried about killing the battery on the new car but this feature will be my savior! I now just leave them on.

Thanks ML. I will post asap. I have comfort access and almost never place the keyfob in the ignition. Maybe that is the problem.

Cheers.

Maybe try hitting the Start/Stop button a second time. I know that shuts off the radio and stuff when you have comfort access.

Welcome Camden owner, how about a picture of your baby when you have gotten the graphics installed?

Holding the stop button down for a few seconds also does the same thing as pressing the stop button twice. Only had the car about 6 months before I figured this out

I leave my headlights on automatic and I have my MINI set up to burn the daytime driving lights. Everything shuts down when I shut the engine off and open the door.

Enjoy your new MINI!!
