Happy New Owner From MD! Hello NAM!

Hi, my name is Mio and I'm an addict. I've been addicted to cars and motorcycles since I was 14 yrs old (some 26 years go). I come here to seek your help and guidance in getting me settled down for a while with one car that can do it all. That is why I chose a Mini Cooper S.

After lurking here for a couple of months and collecting all the info I could handle I made the decision to get one and I couldn't be happier.
I just picked up a 2006 MCS with 34k miles and still under factory warranty. Blue with white top, heated seats, moonroof, navi and very clean. I've always liked the looks of the car but never saw it as practical until I took a closer look and finally drove one. What a joy to drive, quick, very comfortable and nimble.

My interest in the car came from looking at something that could be a daily drive, fairly economical, sporty and that can handle 15 track days a year. I have some work in front of me in getting the car track worthy and that is where most of my focus and questions will be. There is a wealth of knowledge on this board and I hope to be able to use it to the fullest.

Mio

Welcome! Where in MD are you?

I'm a suspension/chassis junkie and hope to hit the track at some point this season.

I'm in North Potomac (Gaithersburg) MD Andrew. Maybe I can pick your brain for some insights into suspension/brake work.

I hit Summit Point about 10-12 times a year and VIR a couple more. This year I would like to get to NJMSP.

You're gonna love your new (to you) MINI!
I hope my next MINI will be like yours.
