New here!

I’m new to the site, but not new to Mini.
I am proud owner of a 2008 JCW and a classic mini

And before the JCW I drove a 2005 Mini Cooper (Black w/a white top)

Last night I went out with some friends to eat at Cheddar’s in Spring, Tx (just north of Houston). I cleverly parked right next to sweet white and black MCS and when I returned after a great meal there was a note on my car that read..
“LOVE THE JCW! STRIPES COLOR SCHEME & ALL! I LIVE IN THE AREA. THR-ARY ON N.A.M. HAVE FUN MOTORING. C U ROUND!”

..Forums have never really been my thing, but I thought I might give it a try.

Thanks for the note! I was checking out your car before I got into the restaurant. I thought about leaving a note, but I was already hearing crap from my friends about being “dorky enough to park RIGHT next to another mini- you’re obsessed” I don’t live in the area, I live in south Houston and occasionally pass through on my way to Huntsville for school. Maybe ill see you around!

I park next to MINIs whenever possible. I don't even care if it is the farthest parking spot away from the store, I will park there if there is a MINI. Great looking MINI btw

Parking next to a MINI is the safest place to be. Guarantee no door dings and maybe even get to meet the owner. Better than next is between two MINI's, and to make it perfact get one in back!!

THR-APY reply:)

Hey there, well it was me S.P.,that parked there @ the Cheddar's in spring and glad you parked there right next to me, it certainly made me smile as I was leaving with my wife that night. Glad you got the note and found your way here, although apparently my spelling was whacked out when I attempted to write THR-APY on the note.. but it was darn cold out that night , cold enough for my "hey idiot its freakin cold outside" ding to sound off as I drove away. I did get a picture though with my cell before doing so as I really do like the red and white, think I'm in trouble though as now my wife wants one and after seeing your JCW and knowing how mine drives she wants your colors with the jcw .. hmmmmm not right now is what i told her for now. lol

Well I'm sure I will see you motoring around at some other point in time possibly up and down the I-45 North or south around the louetta Rd exit and I'm always doing something with the mini if its not upgrades it driving. there is a club I have met with on a few occasions that meet downtown Houston several times a year and have fun drives, I.E. the haunted drive we took last year for Halloween when everyone dressed up the minis and paraded them around Allen parkway while stopping @ local Haunted spots along the way and ended up @ spaghetti warehouse downtown.

My cousin also has a powder coating business I help with on occasion so if you ever want to get something powder coated local for a great price let me know. Attachment 46152

Hope you are doing well up in Huntsville and safe travels to and from..
Im off to glass blast and Powder coat this outlaw BBK I got here on nam and hopfully do the install this weekend.Attachment 46151 with a baby on the way I figured its a good upgrade and I need to stop just as much as I need to go..
have a great weekend and dont do anything I would. ok ! go ahead .. just dont tell anyone LOL
S.P.
