I was debating over a 06 JCW 6speed, 20k miles or 08 MCS automatic with all the options including navigation, 7500 miles. Being that I'm in LA (Hell-A traffic conditions), I went for practicality. The decision was easy to make because both were the same price out the door. The JCW was a dealer price + tax (almost 10%), the MCS was a private owner.

Thanks to NAM, I've already made my first aftermarket part purchase (M7 vortex scoop) from another fellow member, and I've received very useful 411 from the forums. Truth be told, I've never joined an enthusiast site of any kind before, so this has been a fun experience.

I've read on here that the NAM experience has gone down in quality over the years. Did I just miss out on the Golden Age? I think the site is pretty cool already...!

I used to live in SoCal (Toluca Hills) and I used to love driving the MINI on Mulholland Drive at about after 10pm on weeknights or early on weekends, a real blast. From the 101/170 all the way past the 405.

Congrats... BTW nice color choice. That would be a tough choice between a 06 JCW or an 08 MCS... I probably would've went with the JCW but you are right about being practical, living in a busy area and wanting an automatic.

I think the two tone effect you have with a non-body colored scoop is the ONLY way to go!!
