I thought I would update every one. My 2010 pepper white JCW went into production 9-24-09!!! It was originally scheduled for the first week in October. I also now have VIN #.
This is very good news, now I am getting excited!

Great news Ron! Same story here- as the mysterious MINI "time slows down" effect continues to distort our realities. I'm in the same production time frame as you (also just saw my VIN show up) so perhaps we'll be on the same boat over the pond (I'm in CA as well).
I know early November HAS to come sooner or later-

YAY! Awesome news, Ron! Definitely glad to see another JCW going through the line.

Mine appears to still be waiting for week 41, but I only checked the online Owners' Lounge to see if there was an update there, and I know it's not always completely up to date. Has your Owners' Lounge page updated yet?

I've been looking at that same, un-updated Owners' Lounge screen for so long that it's going to take me a minute to figure out what's going on when it actually is updated with a VIN.

The closer it gets, the more impatient I'm becoming. I'll probably be aggravating the crap out of the people at 866-MINI once my week finally arrives.

 

The Owners' Lounge page says my car is scheduled for production, so as you can see it is behind. It does not even say I have a vin #.
Call "1-800-Askmini" that is what I do every Monday.

No, unfortunately no JCW for me! But no regrets- getting a BRG Clubbie with the Sport pack, Xenons and the new H/K audio upgrade (which I'm thrilled I was able to add). I live in North San Diego County, in the mountains, and just wanted a fun car to take up and down the mountain every day on my 20 mile commute, and the R55 should fill the bill. And get decent mileage to boot. That and I'm planning some trips to Mammoth, and Death Valley for the winter, so the extra space will be a nice plus.

Should be lots of fun for both of us in any case! If we can stand the wait...
