Just picked up a 2003 Mini Cooper S from an area dealership (well, CT... it's close enough). Indi Blue w/ blue & black leather seats (it was the seats that pushed the issue )

We moved from Germany about two weeks ago (my Audi s6 is still on in transit) but wanted a small fun car and the MCS feels like it will fit the place perfectly! I look forward to discussing modifications/maintenance in the future, so thanks in advance

Welcome to R53 ownership.

You will love your new MINI Cooper S fine road feel with lighting quick steering and huge fun gear changes. After you get back into your Audi S6 you will appreciate the relaxing, silky smooth power, quiet ride and speed an S6 can provide (make sure to disconnect the servo assist plug at the firewall on your S6 steering rack so the steering difference isn't so noticeable between the two). Your S6 is a euro spec... do you have the AAN 20v turbo or S6 plus with the 4.2 V8?

I've got the same two cars and when it snows, just practice in the R53 with the DSC off and your ebrake. Both are a major hoot to drive, wet, dry and in the snow.

I'm really looking forward to our first snowfall -- the audi is a us spec v8, so not the fastest but I wanted the station wagon (and didn't want to pay import/modifications on an RS6+, hah!)

now to get them both ready for NY emissions tests (might be tough with the audi -- blew the cats out on the autobahn right before I left!)
