Staying in the family... sort of

Hey all. First post. On the verge of buying an '08 MCS. Working out details with the seller, but I'm hoping it'll work out and I'll have it in the garage within 2 or so weeks.

Bit of a change for me. Coming out of a 2006 BMW M5. Uber fast, great fun. But just a horrible gas guzzler (read: 10-12 miles/gal if I DIDN'T stand on it). And with a 60 mile round trip commute to work, I was spending an inordinate amount of time at the pump.

No need for the 4 doors. Just wanted something fun, economical, and easily mod-able (is that word?) to drive to work everyday. Naturally aspirated engines are for the birds! Veteran member of M5Board.com, so no newbie to car forums. Hope to glean some useful info here and eventually add some tidbits of my own.

Welcome to NAM.

The mileage should certainly be better, I get 25mpg in an MCS even when I do stand on it. Others seem to do a lot better.
