My Mini will be dropped off in Georgia on May 25th. I haven't gotten to call Mini yet. I only just found out my Mini's status this afternoon. Long story, short: I am graduating from UT in a week and so my dad didn't want me to be distracted from my finals. Thus I was pretty much clueless until today. I will call them on Monday. Once my Mini makes it to DFW it will still have to stay at the dealership so that the ipod adapter can be added. This will certainly be a test of patience.

Had an email exchange with my MA yesterday, looks like I'll be picking up my Clubman on June 5th.

That also happens to be my kids' last day of school.

Everybody in the house is counting down the days! It's driving my wife crazy!

My pickup date is tentatively scheduled for next Friday, May 29th. I still hope that it comes in sooner as it was dropped off the boat in Charleston last Friday! My kids don't get out until June 11th so I will have a few days do just drive around! June isn't far away!!!!

 

How would he know that? Your car is on the Morning Concert correct? It hasn't showed up on the tracker again, then even when it gets to Port Hueneme they would not know how long it will be there? Not trying to bum you out just wondering how they can be so specific?

As far as the good ol' Morning Concert goes, I am assuming that it is on schedule for the 29th - the WW website and the Port of Hueneme website still show that it will be in port on the 29th to offload cargo before heading to Tacoma.

For the date, I can only assume he's going from past experience. He says it's typically 3 business days from offload to dealer, and another day to prep the car. Is it a firm date? No, but it's fine for planning.

Which is really all anybody can do, right?

Been checking constantly and no signs of the MC yet. I know, I know she's not due in Manzanillo until tomorrow, but... I can't help it!!!

 

I wish that it was only 3 business days to get from port to dealer. They have told me 10 on average... to Cincinnati. Maybe they are just giving me worst case... THe cool thing is that in a month we should all be writing stories about how COOL and AWESOME our cars are!!

 

Ive tried a bunch of places to find out where our ship is. Stella your car looks very close to the same as my car....

 

Well, Port Hueneme to my dealer is a whopping 78 miles. Probably takes longer to load and unload the truck than to drive it!

The Don Pasquale is supposed to get to Halifax tomorrow, and NYC Friday. My ma does not expect it until late in the week, and then they have to do prep. I will be away Monday, 1 June. I am hoping for Tuesday, the 2nd, but, as has been said above, 'mad proposes, god disposes.

I've been watching the Panama Canal webcams at both ends - Gatun Locks on the Atlantic and MIraflores Locks on the Pacific - and I haven't seen a thing this morning.

Well, nothing that looks like the Morning Concert anyway.

So much for getting any work done for the rest of the afternoon.

I hope we can get some shots of her going through the canal. I wonder if she'll go into port today, leave and moor in the open waters until tomorrow morning then start the trek through the canal. This is what "my" first ship did Sept 07. The only way to know is to keep watching, I suppose.
