My MA is estimating it coming in Wed. and we have an appointment to pick it up this Friday, barring unforeseen circumstances. This is going to be one looooong week!

Now this is weird, I just noticed on the owner's lounge tracker that while it still reads "at VDC", my estimated delivery jumped from 6/6 to 6/4 under the "review order detail" tab, and the factory ordered options box is now empty.

huh...? Must mean something is happening. I hope its good.

 

We called the MA today too..he said that it should be in on Tuesday or Wednesday..and it would take them about 4 hours to do final prep.. We will probably have to wait until Friday too... We are sooooo exicted

 

Jimmie, are you picking up from Mini of Mountain View? Saw that you are in Cupertino figured that we are probably bugging the same MA for our cars.. Hopefully they will be on the same truck coming up..

 

Very exciting. Only 4 hours to do the prep, huh? Anyway, looks like we are all in for a great week and weekend!

Nope, I went through East Bay Mini, they have excellent service and sales folks, and I had issues with Mt View in the past. If they're treating you right though, that's all that matters!

 

So I'm still trying to pass time anyone think about getting custom license plates?

 

I have my plate from the last car...when had two BMW X3s bought back.. i went to Volvo... my plate was XBMRBOY. I think i'm going to keep it for now.
I wanted RDOFLYR but it's already in use.

That is too funny, considering my trade-in is a BMW 3! (Lemon to the max). My plates are already in, but have to wait until the regular plates come in to trade them (I do not know why they do that on new cars). They read "JANMINI". Not too creative, I know. My Z-4 had plates that read "JANETZ4", but obviously cannot use them again. My ownerslounge reads delivery as today, but my MA thinks Wed. Anyone have any experience with Mini out of Pleasanton? I will likely be using them for any warranty work.

 

psmini is puget sound mini and we are all over washington. Alot of really great people.

This car is fantastic. SO worth the wait.

We picked her up on Friday. A tip of the hat to Midwestern MINI for all their efforts through this process. Our MA Chris has been great. We were given a thorough intro to the car and only left when there was nothing left to say - and then we drove. We turned a 2 1/2 hour trip home into 5 hours - we kept switching drivers and adding side trips to the route. Within 5 miles of home we met our first Mini of the trip and shared a wave.

Much of the rest of the weekend involved inventing reasons to drive the car.

 

I haven't but I'm not too surprised - my MA is on vacation until Friday. I will call later this week to make sure the car is ready but I'm also scheduled for a Friday pickup!

O.K. I'll check them or you out sounds like fun not sure if i would fit in i looked at pics and they all look like Cooper Ss and i am just a Cooper

 

I am either going to have "Stella1" or melcmni. Have not quite decided. I really wanted "MeGusta", me gusta... A good friend always says that means "It pleases me". That makes me giggle. It looks like Meg usta when you can't have spaces. I think Stella1 will be it. We want a matching classic next, naming it speck so it will be speck2 for our second MINI. I CAN"T wait to see all your pictures and celebrate ALL of our new arrivals!! BTW. I have put 345 miles on Stella since last Wednesday Gas gague still says I have 113 miles until empy )

Okay, I managed to not call for a whopping four hours.

Just got off the phone with my MA's manager, I might be able to pick up my car on Thursday. (happy dance happy dance happy dance)



One other tidbit - he mentioned that they got 12 cars in yesterday, all of them pre-orders. Wow, maybe the economy isn't completely in the tank after all...

I just got the call from my MA as well--car is in today. Was able to move up my pickup day from Friday to Thursday. I could not wait another day longer!

I just got back from the dealer. My car had already arrived at the dealer last night (5/31) so no pics of it getting off the truck - no biggie.

I took several more pics of my car as well as a MINI E that was parked next to mine waiting to be delivered to another customer. They were delivering 3 today!

I signed my papers and am all set for Friday at 11 am.
