This seems to be the most active and informative Mini forum on the internet, and so here we are! I just helped my wife to a 2005 Cooper, Black on black w/ sunroof, custom alloy rims, and few odds and ends to dress 'er up--tint, chrome mirror caps, rear spoiler, and a dual tach mounted on the steering column. My wife LOVES it--both the drive and the looks.

I am looking into a cold air filter arrangement that will provide her just a little more Hp. I was looking at the K&N Conical Filter, but a friend warned me these will more than likely pull in warm air since the air box is removed. Anyone got some pointers on the best air filter for the job?
