New member, old car and electronics guy

I won my 2008 Mini S Conv in a raffle drawing with NUB cigars. They did a
great package for options but no Sat radio and no Bluethooth. Blitzsafe and
XM Direct solved Sat radio with no issues. However Parrot Ck3000 for the
Bluethooth caused battery to drain and three trips to dealer. They told me
the Ck3000 did not allow the electiral system to sleep. They are correct after
appox 10 min in standby after car is turn off the Ck3000 draws 120ma this
causes the operating relays to draw current and kill the battery. To fix
problem if not using Ck3000 address book cut constant 12v supply wire (red)
and splice to ignition on (orange). If using address book run wire directly
from battery postive terminal with 5amp fuse at battery to constant 12v (red)
lead on Ck3000. This is my first ever drop top WoW what a ride

Can you explain how you solved the Sat radio? Is it integrated into your radio?

Thanks.

t
The Xm sat tuner will only work with sat ready radios. When installed you will
have one line of display. Steady Xm channel being reveived press info
button to show song title press again to show artist. I got my hardware
(SLD01) interface and (XMD1000 tuner) from myradiostore.com for
$ 170.00 net. Its a simple install all plugs are located in right rear area
under soft liner.

Thanks,

I now see though this is Gen1 forum, so you interfaced to a Gen 1 car correct?

Wonder if it works for the Gen 2 stuff too...
