I'll use my first post to introduce myself. I'm Dean and I live in Southern Kentucky, Bowling green, to be exact. I ordered my 09 MC on Dec 30, 08 and took delivery on Feb 13, 09 (That's a Friday by the way). It took me two trips to the dealer (180 mile round trip) to look at the various colors to make up my mind. I decided on Lightning Blue with White roof, 6-speed manual, Premium Package, sport Suspension, HiFi Sound System and Center arm rest.

I only have 400 miles on the clock, so I'm still taking it easy on her. I've been lurking for a while and reading up on what other owners learned about these little gems over time to be sure they were a good, relatively trouble-free car. Obviously, I liked what I heard.

My first experience with the Mini was at Gateway International Raceway, when I took a ride in a MCS. After only one lap, I was very impressed with the performance, something I did not expect since I was there in a 325 RWHP 3rd Gen RX7.

My Inpressions of the car:
1) fast, precise steering
2) great breaks, I'm an autocrosser too
3) comfortable seats, even my 85 year old Mom likes them
4) minimum torque steer compared to the 91 CRX I was daily driving
5) This car is smarter than I am
6) I LOVE it

Well, thats about it, I have to go for a ride now, so I can complete the break-in period and really start having some fun in the little go-kart.
