I checked the automated line today and that now says my car is in production, with an estimated finish date of 3/11. Online still says "On Order". It is amazing that they can have multiple systems providing this data, all with very different answers!

I called ASK MINI and spoke with someone yesterday (she was very nice) and she advised me I'm still scheduled for next week...

Then today I got an email from my MA saying production has started!

OL still shows On Order....

So of course I called ASK MINI again, and spoke with another very nice person who said production started today, and estimated completion is 3/12...

SO, are we still Week 11, or now Week 10, or are they sick of us calling and just appeasing us for the meantime?

I think my wait is worse b/c I work from home and I'm on the internet ALL day long - I swear I've checked the OL 3 times daily since my order went in...and I've read and re-read the MINI brochure, Accessories book, the Unauthorized Owner's Manual (a friend gave me hers from her 03 Cooper), and all the car magazine articles I've collected over the years about MINI's.

Can't I just goto sleep and wake up on delivery day?

Maybe the first person was giving you the "scheduled to be completed" week/date? In any case, if your production started today then that'd be Week 10.

The past two days of work have been pretty slow and I've had too much time to think about production/delivery, so I know where you're coming from

Exact same for me. Super nice woman gave me the scoop at ASK MINI. In production for 3/11, but only on order in the OL. Guess I'll stick to the phone when I need my update fix

Called MINI Canada and got my VIN finally. Still only code 112 but we're on track for week 11 as originally planned.

Will your MINI enter US via Charleston? That's where Molly-I came ashore. My dealer is in Illinois.

Mine should be coming in through New York (well, really NJ) on one of the WW ships. I'm hoping for the TORRENS or TOPEKA, because as long as my car gets to the dealer before 3/31 I should be able to get one of the great financing deals Mini has going.

I read about the financing deals (2.9%!!). Do these end on 3/31? Mine is in production on 3/10 (same as some folks above), and I don't expect it in CA until 4/6 or so...

Thanks!

Looks like it, the info on the MFS site is delivery by 3/31 (http://www.miniusa.com/#/financialSe...LoanSpecials-s) but I wouldn't be surprised to see another deal of some sort in April.

Hello everyone! My OL finally says "Scheduled for Production".

cameroon - the 2.9% isn't for "on the lot" vehicles only like the previous 3.9% deal? Interesting...I wonder how hard it is to get the rate. I have good credit history (no late payments) but it hasn't been established very long, only a few years.

Congrats on the "Scheduled for Production" - I just got word that mine's status 155 now (final + QA) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the TORRENS

As for the rate; the MFS site doesn't say it's only for "on the lot" vehicles (for the 2.9, 3.9 or 4.9 rates) - just that it's for non convertibles and that you have to take delivery by 3/31.

As with anything, nothing's confirmed until it's on paper, but definitely something I'll be aiming for if my car gets here in time

Thanks

I just re-read the requirements for the special rates and it states that "specific vehicles ... may have to be ordered" so I think that's confirmation that ordered vehicles are eligible.

Just found this thread. I'm week 10, but it sounds like both 10 & 11 are allowed in

I got my VIN today. In reading through the thread it looks like I need to call in to find out exactly where my Mini is.

Welcome COKen! Yeah, this thread turned into mostly the Week 10 and 11 thread. I'm a goofy outside case, because I started at Week 12 and bumped to Week 9.

Definitely give ASKMINI a call, the website's always behind

Welcome COKen, the more the merrier. I got my VIN today as well but it sounds like there won't be much action on my car until next Monday.

Welcome, COKen! I'm a week 10, too. Do you know what port your car's coming in through? I'm looking for a new boat-buddy now that cameroon is (hopefully) getting in before mine

Unfortunatly I think it has to go to the west cost, which is a 3 week trip.

Whoa, so ASKMINI's automatic system is ahead of the curve on this one - I'm now "in transit", so I guess I'm done with the final QA. Guess that means I could be on the docks waiting for a ship by Friday.

You're right on that, but the whole West Coast is served by Port Hueneme and all of BMW/MINI's deliveries there come in on the WW line (see http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/ for schedules). So if you come out on the 10th (just saw that post), then you could end up on the TOPEKA on the 13th (in 4/5) or the CARMEN on the 20th (in 4/14).

And if I'm really unlucky, I could end up waiting for the CARMEN, too.

Thanks cameroon! I was going to try to find that out next.

The tracking post stays it can take up to 36 hours to get to the port after the final QA. Looks like my car has a good chance of getting to the port on time, but will it fit on the boat are will they already have a full load. I sure hope it makes the first boat.

I just checked on the schedules and I REALLY REALLY hope it makes the first boat. It only has a 23 day transit while the next boat leaves later and takes longer (25 days).
