Hello All, I am newer MINI owner. I have been on this site before checking local MINI events but have not posted anything so this is my first. I picked-up a 2007 Astro Black MCS coupe with about 3 thousand miles- after test driving, I didn't want to wait 3 months. I've owned Porsche 911s before and would say the MINIs are a similar acceleration and handling experience at a fraction of the cost (and they have a back seat). I call him Grady, after Fred Sanford's best friend in the TV show. I look forward to more posts in the future. Already this site has helped me with recognizing and replacing my warped hood scoop. (the dealer took care of this) I have seen a lot of involvement with other color clubs like the "chili red" and the "pepper White" but I haven't seen anything for the Astro Black club. Is there one out there? I realize the Astro black is not a favorite because of the black really being a dark blue....but I love it! Good to be part of the community!
