Picked up my car yesterday, after the paper signing and the tour (during which I found some faint bumper scratches which were promptly buffed out). Drove about a hundred miles, enjoying every mile, straight to a tire place to have winter tires installed. Just in time, as we're having a "winter event" right now. I'm looking forward to spending a few hours messing around and playing with the settings.

Tomorrow the car should get its pre-delivery cleaning when all of that stuff is removed. It should also get a union jack on the roof within a week or so.

Attached pictures is just after my MINI left the truck, once the weather is not so crappy I will take some more legitimate ones.
Looks great! Congrats!

That's really a nice color combination... and the Bridge Spokes look good in white. You don't see them that often, though, really.

My MCS was released to carrier last night. I'm scheduled for pickup tomorrow at 10am Once I drive off the lot, I doubt I'll be able to stop until the gas tank is empty.

Sloopy is at the dealership!!

Okay everyone,,, here's Sloopy!! She is still at Otto's. I won't pick her up til the first of January. She still needs cleaned up, and some little things added here and there but Holly (my MA) was kind enough to send me a couple of shots via her cell phone. It's probably not her best angle, but I can see her potential...!!

Mine arrived at the dealer this past Monday or Tuesday. My salesguy has been on vacation all week which has made things more difficult, but the sales manager picked up the slack.
I have to drive down there tomorrow to inspect her and sign all the paperwork, then they are going to send their runner up to ME DMV on Monday morning to register and pay the sales tax. Then they will deliver her on a truck Monday or Tuesday.
So it looks like I will have her for Christmas.
I am bringing my camera tomorrow.

It's going to be hard to see her, sit in her and drive her, then leave in my old car.

Hey EMY-RDL can you give me the details on the sport/bonnet stripes? Does either of these styles have a little black trim on the border??

The white and silver bonnet stripes have a black trim and the black bonnet stripes have white trim. I really like the trim it makes the stripes pop a little.

Thanks EMY-RDL! I thought that was the case. I am thinking I may want that to tie in the silver with the black...... so much to think about.

I think that the silver bonnet would look good with your sliver roof, it would really tie the car together. Just my opinion though.

I couldn't resist - took my brand new Clubman out in the Stamford snow and she did great! Then I sat in her for a good hour working through all the bells & whistles, manual in hand!

I went to meet her and sign all the papers today. It was a really messy ride down and back so I'm sort of glad I didn't take her today.
Should take delivery early next week, though.

I just wanted to "bump" this and see how all of sloopy's travel buddies are doing.
I am enjoying Sloopy very much, she is trouble free so far and I love her more with each drive. I did have a little incident and slid into a tree while backing out of a steep driveway in the snow.
So she needs a new trim piece that houses the brake light...thank goodness that is what hit first as it's eas and cheap enough to replace..

And Emy-RDl--- I opted for the silver bonnet strips and love how it ties the PW and silver together, thanks for your input!

I picked up my car on 12/29, although it was at the dealer by 12/16. I was sick and then was out of town for the holidays so it was frustrating trying to get someone on the phone on MINI of Annapolis to figure out my financing during the week of Xmas.

Picking up the car was ok, although it took over a few hours to get all the paperwork done and I was already tired since I couldn't get to the dealership until after work. Then while my MA was showing me around the car, he broke my USB port but I didn't know it until I looked at the car the next day in the daylight. Since the mini dealership was 30+ miles away from my house, I spent New Year's Eve eve morning at the MINI dealership waiting for them to fix it. The service guys were very nice and the only thing that costed me was the long drive, gas, and my time.

Initially, I thought the steering was off, but it turned out that DC roads are just terrible. I still haven't had time to take my dSLR out to shoot the car, the only shot I've gotten of it was with my camera phone when I first picked it up.

Only other issue that I've had is one 20 degree morning I got the cold start chatter 600 miles in, but I'm not going to sweat it unless it happens more.

Glad I could help, Sloopy is looking good.

I picked up my car on Dec. 16 but just got around to taking pictures last week so here MINI is:

I have some side stripes sitting in my trunk waiting to be installed, I am hoping to get that done soon, and then will have an excuse to post more pictures.

Oh phi,, you poor thing, you got off to a rocky start with your MINI but it looks awesome and hopefully you are loving him/her more each day.
Emy-RDI I love the Union Jack and the other additional white that you have on your MINI,, it all ties together nicely....I bet that turns alot of heads
