With every week I hear more and more horror stories about the factory screwing up early 2009 MY interior builds: leaving off ordered items, putting on items not ordered, and just plain f***ing up in general. So if you've recently taken delivery of yr new MINI and the interior wasn't what you ordered, major or minor screwups, please contribute to this post. Some of us are curious as to why QC seems to have taken a back seat here, no pun intended.

Also if U rejected yr new MINI because of interior misbuild monkeybusiness, post as well.

 

Just took delivery a week ago, and everything is perfect, though I didn't order the lately dreaded Anthracite headliner that no one seemed to be getting. But, convenience and cold weather are all there...

it is simply FANTASTIC!!

Wouldn't want and would not accept anything else!!

 

OK the Clubby AH shortage issue is well documented already here on NAM, Im looking for folks getting different trims, missing (or added) accessories, and even seats on their sept 08 builds, and what are yr dealers doing to rectify the problem if y're not refusing the car?

 

I got everything from the factory just fine. However, the VDC forgot to install the iPod connection, though I got billed for it. Cincinnati Mini's ordered one though and should have it installed soon.

 

My 09' MC came with Brushed Alloy Interior instead of Piano Black.

This is my first post. I'm ordering my Chili Red MC on Halloween. Happy Halloween to me!
I'm a bit confused about Sirius radio. When I went to the dealership I was told that the $500 Sirius comes with a lifetime subscription. When I went on the MINI web site to build my car, it says that it comes with a one year subscription. I have a beautiful book that the dealer gave me that has all kinds of info on the MC and MCS. It says it's a lifetime subscription. The dealer confirmed it was lifetime but I am still a bit worried I might get screwed. I guess I should just have them put in the contract the subscription is lifetime and that way they can make it right if it is only a year. Anyone have any input on this?
Mini was my dream car and I really didn't think I could afford it. I was all set to get a Honda Fit and realized if I got a MINI, without going overboard on extras, then I could afford it. I can hardly wait!

 

I just picked up my 2009 model yesterday!! The interior is nice - I haven't found any mistakes or anything. I also have the anthracite headliner - it looks great! I'm so glad I decided on it.

 

that makes me rather nervous. i ordered my MCS with both anthracite headliner and piano black surfaces. from what i've read, though, the anthracite problem is most prevelent in clubmans. i'll be really upset if something ain't right with my car when i go to pick her up

 

one fella on the JCW forum claims he got grey cloth seats when he ordered lounge leather. If true, that's a major screwup (he rejected the car.)

 

I didn't even know this was a problem, I think i got everything that I ordered, but now I'm nervous. The only mistake I noticed is that I think I got the smoker's package, and I do not smoke so I know I didn't ask for that!

 

Our 09 MC came through as ordered. It's quite a major change from the 03 MC we traded in...

Everything works perfectly and we already have 2,100 miles on her after only 3 weeks of motoring. It's a great touring vehicle.

Mine is a first week (36) build 09 and everything came as ordered.

 

I thought that everyone gets the smoker's package, smoker or not? I didn't see a way to order it specifically, so I think it just comes with the car.

 

I got it as well. I think it's standard.

 

Like many people my Clubman arrived minus the anthracite headliner.

Also, the rear passenger side seat trim was incorrect. It wasn't the wrong color or anything. It just left a open gap of about 1.5" between the seat cushion and the cup holder trim. You could actually see painted metal underneath. Turns out the trim piece was for the European Clubman which has a slightly wider seat cushion to accommodate 3 seat belts. My dealer is replacing the trim piece.

 

I did't get the smokers package. Mine came with a nice coin holder, electric camp fire starter, and and imported beer bottle opener!

All my missing (5) chrome interrior rings, chrome gas cap, hood scoop, bumper caps,HC leather shift boot, and replacement door sills arrived and will be installed by the dealer, appointment has been set and loaner car provided (just hope they don't sell the new cooper I requested with the manual tranny before I get there)
