Honestly, I have no idea about the delivery date in the OL. I don't even recall seeing that the last time around, but that WAS over 3 years ago, and my MA was much more on top of things back then.

Best of luck with your delivery! Mine should be at the VA port on Friday (11/7) and then I have the agonizing wait for it to make it down to SA. I don't know if I can wait any longer!

My deepest sympathies! I thought I was delayed due to my extra 2 weeks on the docks in Southampton, but you should have been motoring long before now as a week 39'r.

My MA confirmed that the car should be ready for pickup this weekend!!!

 

Here she is after a quick bath. Amazing how dirty she was after only 200mi. Guess the 10min downpour on Sat didn't help either. Going to clay bar tomorrow and Venture Shield paint protection film gets installed on Wed. No chips yet. Few more pics in my gallery.

wow..it's been awhile!! everybody is slowly getting his or her minis..while, i'm still waiting...boo...is it just texas? lol why aren't we getting one?~~lol

 

What's the update on yours? Mine is due on a K-Line ship in VA this Friday - about 2 weeks later than everyone else's. If all goes well, I'll be motoring in it mid-November.

so like you didn't even know what ship you were on, etc??... maybe, just maybe, mine might be in as well......considering that it should have been in vdc this past weekend 2-3 days overall, maybe 2 days or so to 'transport'...would put a potential delivery to today/tomorrow.... just thinkn out loud.....

ok.minmin, here's a lil task favor we'll ask of ya'..... let myself and gadgett know if you can get/milk free carpeted or rubber floormats for your car!........... I mean they should be very grateful to get your business, right?....

i emailed PENFED and they stated that my 'voucher' was 'mailed' on nov. 1...believe it's coming from Oregon, so hopefully today/tomorrow receive the letter from them.....

typically i've used synthetic waxes on my cars as well... and darn if i know what in the world people are talking about when I jump over to the 'detail' area of the NAM forums.... some people go all out!!! ......

 

I have spent an embarrassing number of hours on the detailing forum. Have to agree that all of the info makes my head spin. I am not an OCD detailer but I have already washed Tatum two times and clayed the entire front half. I just dropped her off for clear-bra and window tint. She is proving to be an expensive date.

I bought the Mr. Clean Auto Dry @ Walmart (~ $18). Great little tool. Filtered and deionized rinse water so you don't get any spotting if you have crappy, hard water like we do here.

Most of the reviews I have read about the Prima line of car care products have been very good. I will be placing an order soon through one of the NAM vendors. Everyone raves about Prima Hydro.

I am also trying to get these Canadian rubber mats. Trying to see if they are still available and if they will ship them from Canada. If not, have a friend in the Detroit area that will drive to Windsor and get them for me.

 

I haven't really had much of a chance to explore the new models at all... did a quick test drive and decided to order one, but otherwise, it's all been online browsing. I did order a "no holes" front license plate holder, but haven't planned any other add-ons yet (aside from the hard-wired radar detector).

Hopefully my PenFed check is on the way as well, but I'm guessing that I have at least another full week if not more until delivery.

BTW, anyone know if the '06 mats will fit well in an '09? If so, I can just swap out my current mats if they won't give me new ones.

 

edjd! yeah, basically, i didn't know it was even coming from England in first place, meaning I didn't know it would come "over the sea.." but now, it's here and I just picked up my baby and she's so fine
anyways, when i was ordering her with Robert, (not knowing so much about car), he just added rubber mats on my list, so i just looked at my "separately ordered" form, I spent $140 on my floor mats for both front and back... I'm guessing that I didn't get free floormats... :( Oh, and surprising part, I was looking through it and I don't have spare tire nor jack. What do you know, Robert said that MINIs have run flat tires, so no need of such things... so, i guess it's good? hmmm.

I wish i checked the site before i left for SA...boo!! sorry guys! but hope your babies are coming sooooooonnnnnn!!!!!!

Can't wait to see your DS JCW. That was my second color choice. Love it. I just couldn't get the PW/B combo out of my mind since I first saw one. FYI, Ferman MINI is having a get together at Bahama Breeze in Tampa tomorrow from 6pm on. Wish I could go but I have to work until 9pm. Would be fun to meet other owners and look at their MINIs.

I received my "draft" check from PenFed yesterday so all I need now is my car

 

Picked mine up yesterday - very pleased with the way everything went - dealer has accessories at 25% off and gave me a free Mini Bulldog (see the attached pic of my my babies - had to make the Mini's ears stand up, though ). Having a ball!

reading hte post earlier from MINMIN,......$140 for rubber mats?....sorry, but a lil bit worried bout price on that...just looking at the MINIofSA.com website /accessories area, shows them at about $90 bucks for front and back..... the carpeted ones on the website are at $110 for MINI logo or CLUBMAN logo for example...... not trying to bust anything, might be too late, but.....y'know we are spending enough money on these cars that EVERYONE should pay just a BIT of attention on prices....trust me I'm trying to gauge it all and if I can save 30-50$ here and there, then that'll make me feel just a bit better....

anyways, I"ll get off my lil rant and ask minmin a question: ............SOOOOOO HOW DO YOU LIKE IT OVERALL? not sure if u ever mentioned what u got?...pix?..the usual questions.... HOW LONG TO GET UR CAR ONCE U GOT THE NOTICE from ROB that it was at dealer?...


SOOOOO, i'm on the website getting the carmat info...and just for S/G's, I take a looksy at the MINIofSA NEW CLUBMAN inventory and taking a peek at the NEW clubmans and found one that makes me say, "hey, same setup as my order"....and then I'm looking at the VIN....and "hey, that's my VIN for my car!".....

I have no idea if that means the car is physically onsite versus pending to be onsite, but it was sure unexpected to see it pop up on the "NEW" car inventory and even funnier looking at your 'own' car and saying, "MAN, sure seems nice" ......... and it is yours your looking at....

BTW gadgett, got my PENFED 'voucher' yesterday up to my limit, got my USAA certified (made out to MINIofSA) CHECK for my down payment yesterday, rental toyota convertible is dirty and about to go on empty and i've ordered some PRIMA banana gloss/black wow/4" stubby antenna that should be here next week......
anyone know what else I may be missing?....
