I have a question about the status indicated on the OL web site. On the left it goes from On Order to Scheduled for Production to Awaiting Transport. If you click on order status you can see you VIN. There is also a status line on this page and mine right now says Scheduled for Production. Will this update the intermediate steps like paint shop, body shop, etc or will it just change to Waiting for Transport when the car is built? Just wondering how useful the web site is for times the Ask Mini people are closed for updates.

 

The OL is NOT useful and is TOTALLY off by days. The ask Mini auto recording is also off by days and is inaccurate many times. The ASK MINI people are your best bet for what stage your Mini is is - some rep.'s are much better than others and sometimes you have to 'double check" the supplied info as Rep's can give conflicting info.

Once your get on the ship, than your dealer is the only one that can give you the correct info. Good Luck! The wait is torchous.. but WORTH IT!! (just picked mine up on Saturday!!)

 

NO it hasen't for me. Think you have to get that from your MA. Mine was built today and still says scheduled for production.

Thanks for the quick replies. Just asking to satisfy need for a fix when the dealer and ask Mini are closed. I have read many entries about the delays in updating the OL and automated Ask Mini.

The OL update was painfully slow to update 5 years ago, and it still is painfully slow to update today

I never use it, except to make sure the order is right. Better to call.

 

My order was just put through to Oxford yesterday. The OL is listing it as an entirely different build than the faxed order confirmation from my MA. Should I be concerned or should I wait a couple days to see if things get straightened out?

 

From another thread a dealer has a slot that they put an order into to hold it. When a customer orders a car they move it into that slot and it takes a couple/few days for it to reflect the correct information for your order.

 

Ah! Thanks, Browser_23! I feel so relieved! Not that Oxygen Blue isn't a lovely color but I'd prefer the colors and interior options I chose!
