NAM has been great for research. I definitely feel like I made a much more informed decision because of everything I've read on here. You have to love teh interwebs!

I have to wait even longer than normal for my MINI to arrive due to the fact that I ordered my MINI from MINI of the Hamptons and I'm having it shipped to me here in Seattle. If I had ordered from my local dealer I wouldn't have been able to get one for 7-8 months!

Congrats Slate 206...........now you'll start questioning your options......you'll most likely change something at least once until it goes to production. The wait is painful ,but you have all the folks here at NAM to keep you company. I'm thinking of changing from DS/B to PW/B or R/B now.

It sure does help to get on this website to pass the time. I got up to 4th gear without even having my mini yet!

I forgot to add, just for clarity's sake: Not only are MINIs and the MINI culture addicting, but so is NAM. When you dream of posting, that's your sign that you need help. Log on to NAM and get therapy.

 

So far I've only been dreaming about driving. I think my first day trip will be to drive down and then around Mount Rainier, provided it hasn't started snowing yet by the time my car arrives!

 

Slate 206, did you get your production number yet? Once you do, you can find out what production week you're scheduled for and join that support group.

I'm finding that you can be "bumped" either backward or forward, though. Unfortunately, I was one who was bumped from production week 36 to week 37 But there are some I've seen who are bumped to an earlier production week.

 

I do have a production number but when I log into the owner's lounge it doesn't say that I have been scheduled for a production week yet.

(I've checked like 3 times today!)

 

Sorry, I guess I should have also let you know that to get your production number you need to call either 1-866-ASK-MINI or your Motoring Advisor (salesperson)

PS the Owners Lounge is cool, but the updates are very slow and people here seem to participate in the discussion boards more. I check the OL about 1x/week but am on here daily!

 

I ordered two weeks ago and was told They weren't even sure when the 09's would start so I couldn't get a week yet. Is that not true?

 

We placed out order last week, it is very exiting to see the order up at the Owner's Lounge. We are week 40. Congrats.
