Week 39 (9/21/08-9/27/08) Support Gripe er Group
I always thought it was interesting that we paid for torture. During the French Revolution, the rich would pay the executioner for a quick death on a sharp blade. And then there is grad school. What's your major?
Went through a few years of Sociology (criminology) and am now in a Ph.D. program in Communication (rhetoric).
All Aboard the Isolde!!!
Just checked the Wallenius Wilhelmsen (WW) site: Syd is booked on the Isolde, and will depart soon for Port Hueneme!! here is the WW link so U can check:

look at it this way: even if yr boat doesnt depart until week's end, y'll prob have yr car waaaay before any of us on the west coast do! keep checking either the WW or K-Line sites.
You all must have brought me luck. Mine just showed up on the Fedora as well. While I never much cared for the hats (tooooo many bad associations with my Italian-American heritage) I think I LOVE this ship.

dude, we lucked out. no sitting at the docks for a week collecting gull shiite on our cars. but I still think Halloween is too optmistic, more like election week methinks
Which port is your baby headed for? If you are an English PhD like 'wandrur' then please read "To which port is your Mini destined?"
The Aristotelian sense of all of the available means of persuasion is a popular one, though Plato largely criticized teachers of rhetoric (sophists) of simply teaching manipulation tools rather than teaching the students how to best contribute to society. I'm certainly a large supporter of Plato's critique. However, I recently read an expression and definition of rhetoric that I absolutely adored: "Rhetoric...should be a study of misunderstanding and its remedies" (I.A. Richards, 1938).
For the Isolde folks, I don't see why you wouldn't have your cars by halloween. If the ship leaves today, add on 2 weeks, then possibly (hopefully) a few days at the VDC and then 3 days at your dealership and then thats that!
the Fedora leaves on the 1st, arrives the 10th, I think we should be ready for pick up anywhere from the 17th and up.

Different kind of rhetoric...

Keep checking the WW website. Mine finished the 26th and showed nothing early this morning. A few hours later it was showing as shipping on the Fedora.
