Ladies & Gentelman...My day has arrived, checked with my MA today and he said my car was in and I could pick it up tomorrow (Thursday). It is about time and hope all of you get your cars soon too. Thanks for getting me thru this process!!!

I'm hoping for my thud very soon. I emailed the SA and asked if there were any other issues, and she said no, just a paint blemish on the bumper. The ETA is 11/5 at the dealer. I'm going to take it one day at a time, and it will be here soon. ... fingers crossed, meditating and envisioning motoring down the PCH with my sunroof open and the birds singing ...

Awesome news Jeremy! Congrats!!! I called my MA and my car left the VPC 10/21 and should be in his door this afternoon. If it arrives by 3:00 I can head up for p/u tonight...otherwise it will be Friday....don't think I can get away tomorrow which will s-u-c-k but hopefully I'll be motoring by the weekend.

 

A lot of weekend motoring ahead for quite a few of us! woooo!!!! Is it Friday yet?!

Nope, looks like I may be the last. THe aero kit has slowed me down a bit looks like.

 

Can anyone say GLITCH? My MA called back to say that my car changed back from "Released to Carrier 10/21" to pending release to carrier. He checked three other cars that also changed status, some one step, some three steps back to "not cleared for release". So, I don't really know where or when.

...back to waiting with you guys...not that I was leaving you or anything...

 

Sorry for the bad news, maybe his system is behind and its already on the way. But then we maybe sitting with you. We still have not heard if Mini Rose has arrived at the dealer.

 

Something is weird. My MA's car was showing released 10/22, mine showed released 10/21 and due today. When he checked later this afternoon mine had reverted back to pending release to carrier, and his was back two steps to pending clearance from VPC...so there's a GLITCH a-g-a-i-n! If it were just my car then I'd think it might have been damaged but he checked three different cars and they'd all reverted back to a prior status. So, as we've been saying can't trust the online...even the dealers OL is flawed.

 

Between the excitement of picking her up on Satuday & figuring out I had an upper respiratory infection I hadn't updated ya'll yet. Oops! I guess I was on too much of a high from being so excited about my MINI I failed to realize I was getting more sick as the days passed.

I love love love oh did I say LOVE my MINI. Best decision I've made in quite some time to purchase this car. I decided a female personality & the name Stella fit her well after I'd heard her described as classy multiple times. A couple tried to buy her on Saturday before I picked her up & my MA assured them I would not agree to let them have her & wait for another. I'm @ 100 miles already but once this sickness is gone I will be taking her out for a drive much more. Hopefully there will be some photos in my gallery in the next hour.

 

Momentum in Houston yes.

 

I almost feel guilty posting. I am shocked you guys are still waiting! In the morning I will have successfully gone thru my first tank of gas! I got about 475 miles on the tank, not bad at all!! I am having a good time driving it and getting used to the stick shift again. I am going to try and take some fancy pics of it on Sat, it is raining all over here so I can't take any yet. I'm going to be in town tomorrow- I'll ask my friend if she's got any issues with a dog who wears pig panties, and if any of her rentals that are available have a garage.
She does have a place for sale in Nashville- but it's priced a bit high, imho...
Mocha... AHHHH Mocha! She's sweet, smooth, sexy and is a KICK to drive!- I only wish she wouldn't get so dirty so quickly (our road is really really dusty, almost like it was a dirt road)- I washed her this morning and by the time I got to where I was going (3 miles away) she was filthy! My garage isn't finished, so she's outside right now, avoiding all trees (especially the hickories that are dropping HUGE nuts that will crack a sunroof-) I've let my DH drive her twice now- didn't think he was coming back the second time
