Ditto on the in between Draik and Doo. It's a good place to be agewise. The fruit of my loins are almost grown. Yes, I started young. And I'll finish young! So many things to do and see - but I'm waiting to share it all with Duncan!!

Let's look at this logically. I'm over 40 (and older than DooBahDoo, but not as old as Draik). I've, uh, known a lot of men in my life (now cut that out!) and I've found the ones that drive the big fast sports cars, i.e., Vettes (and especially T tops or convertibles) are DEFINETLY making up for things. Therefore, YOU who will be driving a diminutive but MIGHTY MINI, must NOT have any, uh, size image issues. The ONLY people that you even need to care what they think are WOMEN... and WE all know that MINI drivers are virile... very very virile (said in your best Catherine Zeta-Jones in The Mask of Zorro).

Ouch V, twins? I guess I am glad I started young. It's very cool having adult kids, too. I would have thought I had learned more patience than I presently have been showing, though.

My twins make me laugh. A lot! And they keep me young! We watched The Italian Job last night and by the end my son was just grinning from ear to ear. He turned to me and said, "Hey Mom, are YOU going to drive like that when we get our MINI?!" I think he wants me to! OH and he's already claimed MochaLatte for his own when he gets his license. Smart kid!!

heading out in about two hours
i'm leaving at 11:45 AM to pick up my MINI - have to be at the dealer around 1:00 PM
i'm very excited about the car (and also nervous about spending all this money, especially since i'm retired).
but hey, my runway isn't getting any longer so i'm going for it!
just trying to kill time and calm my stomach...

While I don't have confirmed passage on the boat my MA did leave a message saying that delivery should be the 20th-24th, which puts me on the same time frame. Here's hoping.
As for any of you considering yourself old, not even. Age is a state of mind and I say this whole forum and the excitement to have a MINI is a sign of a youthful spirit.
As for MINI masculinity, I say those that question yours are the ones that are most insecure abou theirs.

congrats! Hope ur bringing a camera - we need lots of pix of ur car, and the process. Also, since we know you'll want to be on the computer and not in ur car (LOL), a detailed step by step of the whole p/u process! Pahleeze I've got butterflies for u! Way to go!
