OK this is my week! the OL says expected delivery on the 15th, I am selling my old car tonight, now all that is left is the phone call asking me to come pick it up tomorrow! I hope there isn't a backlog at the dealership and I have to wait until the weekend, that would suck!

Just an update on my end: Picking up the car tomorrow night after work!!! (It didn't get to the dealership until the 11th and they needed 2 days for dealer prep/clear bra install.)

Great news Ben! I just heard my car came in this morning on a truck. Don't have a pickup date yet, I know they are busy. I"m hoping to go pick up by 10/15. I'll be happy with that date.

Congrats! I spoke to my MA this morning. My car is on MV Western Highway arriving SC 10/16, VDC 10/18, and tentative p/u in Nashville 10/21. Seems optimistic but he said since I have no options to be installed it should make it. I'll keep you guys posted. Can't wait! It's getting so close for all of us. Good luck to everyone for a pen full of ink, a tank full of gas, and some clear windy roads very very soon.

My MA emailed me today and I learned a few things:

1) my car was not on the truck that came into the dealer this morning (Misti's truck)

2) My car is at the final process center.

Does anyone know what that means? My car has been at the VDC since last Thurs. I am guessing something need to be fixed on it before it left. Sigh, I am selling my car tomorrow and don't want to non-car gap to be too big.

 

Jake - I'm so sorry that you weren't on my truck. If it helps any at all, I was on the SH that docked 10/2. I know you didn't ship out until after me. Mine was at the VDC from the 2nd or so until approx 10/9. I am thinking they are/were just back logged from the EPA thing. I bet you get on a truck ASAP and have really soon.

I turned my lease in back in July. I know its hard waiting especially when you are down a car (my DH has a truck I've been driving, but when it rains he won't take his Z06 out so I'm SOL). Truly feeling your pain. But it will be over soon!!!

 

Yeah Jake, I wouldn't sweat it too much because there was another Mini on the SH (same as Misti) with me that was going to my dealer and his car got there 4 days before mine did. I thought for sure there was going to be damage to mine but I saw it at the dealer on Saturday and everything was fine. I wasn't having anything extra installed the at VDC either. I think they are just backlogged with lots of 09's coming in at once.

Mine is being prepped today and I'm finally picking up tomorrow. To give you a time frame, I arrived at the VDC on Oct 2 the car got to the dealer on Friday, Oct 10 and I'm picking up tomorrow, Oct 14 (ordered on Aug 8).

 

Confirmed pickup afterwork this Wednesday 10/15. Will post pics soon!

I had another exchange with my MA and he said that while he can't really confirm, that I would probably be safe to expect a pickup on Friday, Thursday if things really fall into place. Kind of hard to believe since it isn't at the dealer yet...maybe it gets there today or tomorrow. I will be car-less until that day. I guess on the bright side it is raining today and tomorrow, so by the time I pick it up, the weather should be better.

Picked up my BB last night. I didn't get pics because it was dark and she doesn't show up as well as she will in the daylight.

I had some problems driving her (manual trany) up a hill -- so she's not at work with me today -- she's at home safe in my garage.

My hubby said she was really fun to drive home from the dealer last night. Yes, we had a bit of a tiff because I couldn't drive her home safely -- I was soooo jealous.

But --

Yippee!!! I did make some tight turns around the parking lot last night.

 

you better learn that stick shift fast!!

 

Well I'm home from Maine and have heard NOTHING... OL still shows me at the vdc... and my (2) MA's are MIA... Hmmm... do I start fretting that something has happened to MochaLatte, that she might be in the infirmary? I mean, the ship came in 10/8... but at this rate, DooBahDoo will get his lovely Clubbie and I'll have to satisfy my Clubbie fixation by drooling all over HIS clubbie (bring a rag!)

My ship came in on 10/2 and my baby just got to KC yesterday. OL still shows me at the VDC. Do not fret...I'm sure she's on her way to you.

My BB showed up originally as arriving at the dealer on 10/11 -- but then on 10/10 when I looked it showed as having arrived on 10/9 and I still had to call my MA to find out for sure...

The OL site is very slow. Even though it shows at the VDC its probably on its way.. Mine showed at the VDC until several days after it was at the dealer.

 

I know what you mean. I'm heading straight up to Baron after work today, and it seems like the clock has ground to a halt!!!!
