I'm hanging, but if you get on that boat and I don't...you won't want to be in front of me on the tail of the dragon in May... Good luck to you! I'm staying positive...you do the same.

Hang in there

Definitely need to hang in there. My bb didn't show up on a boat but the oc showed it as en route.

Any one know which port Missouri might go through?

My hubby tried to scare me that the financial stuff was holding the cars in England. I don't think thats' the case.

Could have been the storms that hit the East Coast last week... Maybe ships were held on this side of the pond...

My entire team at work asks me daily where my baby is.

I am in Kansas City, so I can only imagine you will be coming in from Charleston like me! What does your car look like?

Still says I am "In Transit" but no bookings on the WW site. Anybody else see themselves yet on the Fedora?

I had the 866 line tell me Germany once too, and I told him I thought it was out of UK, and he basically didn't know what he was talking about.

We have not shown up on any shipping lists and our MA is on vacation. Maybe we will find out something Monday. And we sold to old car today. We will see how long we can go with only one car.

Draik- I would LOVE to- I've been trying to read the threads about it- am a bit confused about lodging?! Are there kid activities?
I've done bits of the Blue Ridge Parkway (from Roanoke to North Carolina, and also some bits up near Winchester), there are lots of fun roads in West VA, MD and Northern VA (spent a long time in that area as a teenager- and my mom had an Alfa Romeo that she'd let me drive)- I'm also somewhat familiar with the roads west of Roanoke into West VA and KY... One going into Princeton KY is HAIRPINS! Did that in a 1976 Buick Station Wagon... UGH.
Where I am now is fun too- lots of great back country twisty roads- just have to watch for deer (hit one in my 1968 MB 280 SL while pregnant with the twins, who were born the next day- everyone, except the deer, was fine- car is as good as new), possums, bobcats, bicyclists, cows, horses, sheep, bear, etc...
Zippety doo dah- I'm getting psyched

Y'all still on the docks might want to check this thread about incorrectly built cars. Hopefully it's nothing but...

Is there any option you had in common?

Not for me. I chose to stick with the light grey headliner. But ouch...I'll be sure to check carefully when he finally gets here.

My Lightening Blue Mini is the Mini Cooper (for gas mileage we stuck with the non-S version and a manual transmission). I did get the white roof and white bonnet strips, dual pane sunroof, cold weather package. Other than that -- we'll add little touches later. Already have a NAV system to add to it sitting in my kitchen.

Miss-Builds

This is on another thread about 09 mis-builds, but I wanted to give the week 38ers a heads up. Apparently, there are a bunch of us that ordered anthracite headliners that aren't getting them. I checked the Owners Lounge and the anthracite headliner has disappeared from our option list. Our car is due into Charleston Harbor tomorrow aboard the Patriot. I e-mailed the MA at Nashville and they are checking with MINI about it. He said it affects 4 cars that he sold.

Still hanging in...

I have had several cars before - but this is the first one I've had to wait for in a long time. I'm not sure all the info about where it is makes it easier or harder. I get more anxious daily. I tell myself I'll get it by Halloween.

Looking forward to my white over blue mini.. Named it for Bulldog Blue or BB.

Still no update on what boat I'm on although according to everything I see I finally got on board one. Could mean that the log jam has broken. I had been waiting since the 22nd....

Ha ha ha. Funny - husband sitting in kitchen. He can't wait to drive my Mini.

I bought a Magellan Navigation system online for less than $100 to add to BB.

My hubby wants to drive to Kiawah Island in December in the Mini for the marathon. Hopefully its broken in by then.

Hey -- finally got an email from my MA.

Your Mini is on the ship called The Southern Highway. It should be arriving at the port in South Carolina tomorrow. Once it’s at the port it takes about a week to get to Mini of St. Louis. So around the first part of next week you will be motoring in your new MINI Cooper!!!!!

WOW -- Now I'm extremely excited!!!

Just a quick update on mine:

My MA e-mailed this morning and said that she got notification that I am in transit to the VDC. We're shooting for a tentative pick-up date of next Saturday, the 11th!!!!

(Sorry to everyone that is still in limbo. It sucks that you all are having to wait so long. I'm just excited and had to share!!! )

Spoke to MA just a few minutes ago and he said as of yesterday I was still sitting at the docks. :( The estimated date of arrival at the dealer is the 21st though so who knows. :/

Congrats!!! How exciting...maybe I'll see you at Baron. They are doing a few extra things for me, but I think my baby's on the same truck as yours when they leave the VDC! Cheers.
