I am a first time poster. My mini was orderded 5,July,08.
I checked the mini usa website and my production began on 14,July,08.

It is chili red with a white top. six speed manual.

I can't wait to see my mini.

 

Expect to complete about the 21st, and take about three days to get to the port, on the 24th. The Don Juan departs for the East Coast on the 29th and the Aida on the 29th for the West. There's an 8 day dry spell between those two ships, though, so there will probably be a backlog. You might get bumped to the Integrity on the 2nd for the East or the Maersk Wind on the 12th for the West.

Tennesseemini - you may as well join forces with him...You're already past saving since you've already ordered your CROC. You should have gone with BRG - not only does it stand for British Racing Green, but it's also the Best Revvvving Going.

Mslatter, are the ships you mentioned part of the WW line that is mentioned in another part of this forum?

The adrenaline stops when you take delivery of your MINI. Then you get something called HYPERadrenaline. YouTendToStartTalkingReallyFastAboutYourMINI is one symptom.

Thanks for calling my car cool, and yes, BRG/W is another dynamite color scheme, especially with bonnet stripes.

I WOULD admit Red Dragoon's car is racy cool, but it might go to his head. Compromise: I think red and white combo is ALMOST as gorgeous as BRG & white.

Tennesseemini - this isn't adrenaline, sweetie...it's addiction. And it never ever ever ever ends. You can ony make it more tolerable by constantly driving your MINI (when you FINALLY get it), talking about your MINI, and wearing all kinds of MINI things so that everybody asks you about your MINI.

 

I was on the fence between BRG and CR. But in the end I had to join the CROC.

The only one who is praying harder for my car to be delivered is my family so that I will shut up about it. Funny thing I suspect I will be more obsessive after delivery than before delivery.

Hurry up Figaro and bring me my car!!!!

 

I must confess. It is an addiction. I feel like I did when I got my first new car.

Is there really such a thing as a suppurt group? How can I find out what week i'm in? Is it found the production number, or the VIN?

If your car is built this week (July 14-20) then you would be in the week 29 Support group. We are all getting excited for our cars to be shipped over and tracking which transports we may end up on. It gets even more addicting...

 

This whole WEBSITE is a support group! But Pretzel Logic is right - check out some of the other threads, and you'll find out how to find your baby enroute. Just try not to scare too many people by letting them know you have your new VIN memorized. Not many people besides MINI-ists do that, and it tends to get you that "you're growing another head" look from folks....

 

A finally made my first call to ask MINI about an hour ago. The computerized person says my baby is in the paint shop. I got a representative and she says it is finished. However, she didn't know when it would be shipped.
