Yeah, us fanatics use every trick in the book to track down our MINIs. I'm sure there's a few more tricks I don't even know about yet.

...and they changed her arrival time in NY from 1200 to 1800 tomorrow. Aaaaargh!

 

Strange web site. The home page kept recycling until I hit the stop button. Same thing happened using a couple of different web browsers. It must not like Mac OS X. Finally got to look at the vessels page. Otello doesn't depart NYC until late tonight.

 

on WW's website it shows that Otello has already been to and left NYC...no idea if that's accurate....

 

Yes, WW website does show that OTELLO has come and gone from NY. I was unable to track OTELLO entering or leaving NY but I did see her for an instant docked at the autoport. Unfortunately I was unable to duplicate it on subsequent rechecks. Oh well, I guess it's about time to call the MA and see if he has any more info...

Excellent! Good news for you; good news for those of us in more southerly locations, further down the line. Only a few more days before you have your new ride. About a week, maybe eight days for me. Hopefully we both enjoy them a great deal.

 

Shoot. sailwx still has the Western Highway off the southern coast of Greenland. It appears to have been battered by both Bertha and Cristobal, while the cars on board were beamed to Baltimore and Charleston...

 

YEE HAA!!! i was also discharged in NY/NJ.....I hope the BMW VDC is going to put in some hours this weekend!!! Either way I should be taking delivery by 8/2 at the latest!!!!!

 

Anyone heard from their MA when their MINI is going to be delivered to the dealership?

Search on Otello. Can't really post a better link than that as the site is really dynamic/database driven. Totally cool though. You can sign up (free) for email alerts/audio alerts when a particular ship leaves port, it's route (looks like Otello updated every 3 min or so once in the Chesapeake Bay.) Don't know how far this particular tracking lasts, etc.

The same thing, based upon the WW site, appears to have happened in NYC.

I have no idea why that would be.

Meanwhile, down in Florida, we sit. Drumming our fingers. Trying to look like we are patient. Et cetera.

 

Any sign of her today? You guys/gals are really sick with all this intense tracking. Really you need help...where is she?

The WW site shows that she has departed Baltimore sometime today (27 July). Been busy with other stuff, so I really haven't be paying that close of attention the past couple of days. Due in Brunswick sometime the 29th.

 

The WW site shows my car as having been discharged from the Otello shortly before 11 last night. The WW site does not, however, at this moment reflect that the Otello has set sail from Brunswick to recross the Atlantic.

 

Just checked the entire Otello schedule. Apparently she has a couple more US ports of call after departure from Brunswick, but before returning to Europe.

Just got a call from my replacement MA - the previous guy got another job and left the dealership. My car has been released to the carrier, and they are expecting it in Palm Harbor (think Tampa) tomorrow. They think it will be ready tomorrow afternoon, but I'll wait to pick it up until the following day so that I can miss afternoon rush hour on the drive home which is >100 miles.

 

Who has taken delivery from NY/NJ port? My Clubbie still has not arrived at Towson Mini and I wonder if there was something to repair at the port causing the delay.

 

My Clubbie arrived at MINI of the Hamptons, in Southampton, Long Island, NY on 8/1.

They are prepping a few things I'm adding, but we should arrange a time this week to get it.

I have received a call from the guy who sets up delivery dates and "shop accessories". That means, floor mats, etc. I guess.

While I'm there I'm considering getting a tint job, along with the work I'm having them do. They don't do that, but have a local guy do all the high-end BMW and other $$$ cars.

I picked up my MINI on 8/2 from MINI of Annapolis. It arrived at the NJ VDC on 7/24. Hope you finally got yours!

 

I stopped by today to scour the back lot as a delivery had just arrived. No such luck...however MA computer shows it in transit to dealer with arrival tomorrow. Of course....too busy tomorrow night to pick up so will probably wait until Sat so I can take my time.
