Holy cow! I hope mine is as lucky! I've been sitting here thinking that my MINI is sitting at the port and it was born on July 30th! My port is Charleston, SC though, so I may be waiting to leave until the 8th on the Independence II. My MA said that they didn't have info on it yet, so I'm taking that to mean they haven't loaded it yet. I just hope it hasn't been forgotten in a dusty corner of the port.

 

Has the OL been updated to reflect that as well? Or is it also still showing "Awaiting transport"?

I only ask because I'm in a similar situation- my MINI was finished on July 29th, but when I called my MA last Friday, he said it is still showing "completed not shipped" on his computer. And when I log into the OL, it still says "Awaiting transport".

 

My MCS completed production July 28th. OL has been giving me "Awaiting Transport" since July 31st. I was hoping to catch the Sierra Nevada but wasn't sure. I have also checked WW's site daily and the VIN never shows up. Well today I called ASK-MINI and my status has changed to "In Transit". OL as of now still shows "Awaiting Transport". I'm pretty confident I'm on the Sierra Nevada now. Hopefully there's more of us already sailing the Atlantic!

OMG!!! I just called ASK MINI and the automated response says, "Your vehicle is in transit."

Holy moly, it seems as if I may have made it onto the Sierra Nevada afterall!!

Ok, I'm not holding my breath just yet, I need to get in touch with my MA for confirmation. Wish me luck!

 

Your MA won't have any more info than ASK-MINI from what I understand. Although I have found that my MA will give me the production codes, while ASK-MINI will tell me they can't give me that information. But I believe they're both pulling from the same system.

 

Mine says Awaiting transport as well.

 

Funny thing. I just called ASK MINI and the guy told me that it didn't make it to the port until August 1st. He said that it should be on the next ship out as far as he knew. I guess that would be the Independence II. I'm hoping for that anyway.

 

Guess we're all just waiting to hear if we get on the Independence II on Friday.
Reldiah, did you ever find out if your baby actually made it on the Sierra Nevada? Are you the first week 31er to set sail?

I called my MA today (well, technically, yesterday since it's after midnight) and he confirmed that my baby is indeed on the Sierra Nevada. "Due at the port on the 14th", he said.

And, when I just now checked the OL, it has finally updated and is showing "En Route".

Just got an email from my MA - gotta set my preferences for the new Mini when she arrives.

I talked to him earlier and he said it's possible I'll have my car by the end of next week!

 

Great news Jokell! We hope to have ours by August 22nd.

 

Yeah I think he's being a bit optimistic. I also just ordered the Invisishield which will probably add an extra day that my Mini sits at the dealership before I can pick it up. I'm thinking it'll be a week from Monday or so.

 

Thats great Jokell, like Samart I'm hoping for the 22nd/23rd but we'll see as I could get delayed with VDC installed equipment.

 

I have to sheepishly admit that I am getting hopeful and depressed all at the same time! I've been on the WW site five times today and still no sign of my VIN coming up for tracking.
I really was doing fine until I saw someone from week 32 posting that their car was on the Independence II!! I know that loading depends on the port and dealer allotment, but still! I'm trying not to be green with envy!!

 

Don't give up yet. You are probably going to get on the Western Highway. In fact, are you sure that you aren't on the Sierra Nevada? When was your production completed?

 

Pretty sure I'm not on the Sierra Nevada. Got a message my MA this AM and he hasn't heard anything about a boat as of this AM.
Production was complete last Saturday the 2nd... and I think it got to the docks on the 3rd.
Repeat after me: patience is a virtue.....

 

Where are all of the week 31 Minis? I thought there would be lots of posts today from everyone who made it onto the Independence II or the Western Highway.
Apparently I'm not onboard the Ind II as I about wore out my computer screen checking their website this AM! Guess there is always hope that I'm on the KLine.

I'm on the Sierra Nevada Highway. I think there's only 4 of us on ships right now. Here's hoping the rest get on a ship real soon.

 

No ship for me. I've been sitting at the port since July 31. Called my MA and he said something about how they had 20 minis on order and they all have to be shipped at the same time or some such thing. Anyway, the next ship out isn't for another week. Guess my little guy will have to sit there and enjoy another week of England! If I don't get on the next ship, I'm going to have to call a therapist.
