James is here and i'm thrilled! The car is perfect. My MA dropped off the car last night and asked me to come by this morning. When I got there he had rubber floor mats, a mini cleaning kit, a mini hat, a mini key fob and a mini cd holder for me. He also hooked up my bluetooth for me and ordered black caps for the driving lights since the white ones just dont look right on the car (no charge). I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY MINI PURCHASE. Ive gone from 4 miles to 76 in 24 hours.

The bad news is that the mini adventure toggles that we have dont fit, they must be for the previous generation...im sure i can take some scissors and make it work, just know they dont work out of the box.

Ill post pics tonight. Yall that are waiting, hang in there...its worth it!!!!!

Congrats WJones, I'm so jealous!!!

The dealership had the wrong amount on the purchase order and we didn't realize it until after the bank closed.... sigh. Looks like Oliver comes homw tomorrow!

Oh yeah, I just realized that I was friends with a set of twins from Britain when I was growing up. Their names? Oliver and James.

Presenting Oliver
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Oliver. He would like me to have you all remind your new children that what happens on the Western Highway stays on the Western Highway.

At the showroom

A quick photo op on the way home...

That goes without saying! The Time Bandit hasn't even made it to me yet but I am already hearing some vicious rumors about that 2a.m. tryst on the Lido Deck with that tight little Mellow Yellow Cocktail Waitress.

I think it looks pretty darn cool.

Oh...by the way...the first rule of the western highway club, is that there is no western highway club.

Ack!
On Monday, just as my as-yet-unnamed MCS was being loaded onto the transport, they noticed a scratch on the boot. So, they're going to fix it at the distribution center. No problem.

Except the distribution center is closed for the week for the 4th of July.

MAYBE I'll get my car by Wednesday. More likely on Friday.

Ouch...

500 miles
Driven 500 miles or so...
Had to put gas in the tank a little while ago.
Don't expect that will happen again in some time.

THANK YOU!!! Eric (Plug Guy) for recommending Dana! I called her this morning after having some financing issues with another dealership, just didn't feel comfortable there. But Dana magically had almost exactly the car I wanted already ordered and en route to their lot...needless to say, now it's sold :-)

Dana is awesome!

Finally got to pick up mine last Sat. after a few delays. and two trips to Nashville. One thing about having a dealer 200 miles away is you get to drive 200 miles to get back home! As of today I have just over 500 miles on it and just put fuel in it yesterday. OBC said 32.0 and hand figuring said 33.0 Thats over 10 mpg better than my Infiniti.

The car is a blast.

My first tank I only got 25 miles a gallon, but then again I was enjoying him a little too much. My second tank i took it conservative and im sitting at 32.2.

Congrats on your new ride, enjoy.
